This Dull-Day tour not only provides a journey to two castles, one of which is listed on the UNESCO Heritage list, and a cathedral, also on the UNESCO Heritage list. Your English-speaking driver will guide you to Kronborg Castle and Roskilde's Cathedral, providing info-tainment— a delightful mix of facts presented in an easy-going manner, with a twinkle in the eyes of our excellent driver and guide. The narrative strikes a balance, offering just enough facts without overwhelming you with years, kings, and wars, and coupled with a touch of humor and fun. No need for cardio exercise on this day. 10000 steps is reached before the end of the day, and you will have walked up spiral staircases in medieval castles, crossed cobblestone-covered streets. The tour offers also a lot of fresh air and a taste of the Danish weather. So for clothing, do as the Danes say; There is no bad weather, just the wrong clothing!

Great guide and good coverage of major sights.
Wonderful way to officially start our trip to Copenhagen. Kenneth was a lovely guide, sharing stories with us throughout the day- both about the sights and Danish culture. It was refreshing to hear many of his personal anecdotes. Really glad we chose this tour!
Response from the operator: It sounds like you had a great Danish welcome! There’s something about starting a trip with a good guide like Kenneth, those personal anecdotes often stick with you much longer than dates or names of buildings. Thank you kindly for your feedback

Just a heads up...
It is disappointing that a tour that travelers would be looking forward to going on was met with poor customer service and communication. While my experience with this tour company was poor, please be careful with booking Ophelia Tours if you need additional support as it appears they are a tour company that will take your money regardless of providing the service and then blaming the customer for the mishaps and providing unprofessional communication. They had initially canceled the first tour that I had booked because there was not enough people. So, wanting to still go on the tour, I rescheduled. The following morning we went to go meet the tour guide, but there was no one there and no one showed up. We had looked all around based on the information that was given and there was no car. We were there at exactly the time that was listed and we waited and no van showed up at the listed spot. I tried to verify the tour when I couldn't find them and they did not respond to me until the afternoon. We did not get the message that they were late until the afternoon and did not offer a refund for the tour. They were rude and disrespectful and did not appear to value or appreciate customer experiences. After leaving them a review, they said that they would not refund me because I left them a bad review. They also said many other things unprofessionally. So, please be aware to make communication clear with them in how they are going to connect with you if you don't have minutes or are using alternative ways of communication. They will take your money and could treat you very disrespectfully and unprofessionally as a customer. It looks as though people have had good experiences on their tours, but I was not one of them. I would not recommend Ophelia Tours as a company, but if you can successfully communicate with them and you are pretty good at finding locations then you are probably good to go. Though, I myself would not recommend, due to the unprofessionalism of this tour company. They appear to be a snooze you lose kind of tour provider.
Response from the operator: We consider the matter closed and believe multiple reviews across different platforms are unnecessary as the situation has been addressed not only by Ophelia Tours but also by Viator. We do understand your disappointment regarding not being able to join the tour and we are sorry for your frustration. However, we must clarify the facts surrounding your booking: Communication Issues • Contact Information: The primary phone number you provided had insufficient credit, which meant our attempts to contact you regarding the tour were unsuccessful, and you did not receive our essential communication. While we do not cover personal mobile expenses, providing a working, contactable number is crucial for all bookings. • WhatsApp: We regret that you did not use the WhatsApp contact information we provided prior to the tour. We only learned you had WhatsApp after you posted your initial review. Using this alternative communication method could have resolved the situation immediately. Missed Pickup • Our records indicate you left the designated pickup point without notifying us until approximately 15 minutes later, via the Viator messaging system. To ensure the smooth running of the tour for all guests, we operate according to a strict schedule and pickup policy. Review Activity We stand by the policies clearly outlined in our booking terms, which are necessary to manage our tours efficiently. While we sometimes make exceptions for customer service reasons, there must be a limit to deviations. We believe the reasons for your disappointment and subsequent inability to join the tour are related to the issues outlined above.

Danish History 101
Simon is an excellent guide. His knowledge as an archeologist brought a lot of additional information to the tour. He was very kind and attentive. Be sure you can handle steps - there are a lot. We really enjoyed learning about Danish history and culture. The Elephant Guild was fascinating- we found Nelson Mandela but not Eisenhower. Simon gave us a great deal of information on this Danish group.
Response from the operator: That sounds like a good tour experience! We're happy to hear that Simon, made your exploration of Danish history so informative. It's wonderful that his knowledge added such rich context, especially regarding the history and culture you encountered, like the intriguing Order of the Elephant (or "Elephant Guild"). We always appreciate the reminder about the "a lot of steps" and make every effort to ensure that information is clear to all visitors beforehand. Thank you, your feedback means a lot.

Is Castle, Palace and Cathedral Full-Day Winter Tour worth it?
+

How far in advance should I book Castle, Palace and Cathedral Full-Day Winter Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 9.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?
+
On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro, Copenhagen Highlights 3 Hour Bike Tour with local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Copenhagen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
