Carmine is amazing!!! We had the best tour and highly highly recommend. It’s the exact thing we were hoping for. Lover exploring ravello and amalfi. The perfect day!!! His lunch recommendation was fabulous. Most beautiful views and delicious food

Paid a Premium for Carmine, Got Someone Else
We booked Carmine 8 months in advance because of his reputation and intentionally paid a premium to have him as our guide. If we had simply wanted a tour, there were many less expensive options available. When our tour day arrived, we were surprised to find that a different guide appeared at our door. We had received no advance notice that Carmine would not be leading the tour. Only afterward were we told there had been a family emergency. If that was the case, we sincerely wish Carmine and his family well. However, because there was absolutely no communication beforehand, it was difficult not to question how the situation was handled. Our disappointment isn't with the replacement guide she did a good job. Our disappointment is that we were never given the opportunity to choose whether we wanted to reschedule, cancel, or accept a substitute. When customers book months in advance and pay a premium specifically for a particular guide, that decision should be theirs. The tour itself was okay, but the lack of communication and transparency did not match the level of service we expected for the price we paid.
Response from the operator: We appreciate any and all feedback on our services and have many 5 star reviews for all of my drivers. Your issue of transparency and communication before hand seems conflicting to the actual events. You were explained as soon as you met your driver the situation of a family emergency which happened in the early morning hours of the tour date. This was only a few hours difference from the meeting time so instead of just canceling the tour - I sent my best driver in my place. I even communicated with you during the tour of my apologies of not being able to conduct the tour because my family needed me. All of this seemed resolved as you seemed to understand. Doubting my reasons at this point is unfriendly and unfounded. My family’s health is more important. With that said , I will point out that you did not pay any sort of premium for my presence. You paid our regular price - in fact 8 months prior, you paid last season’s pricing which we honored. Your booking 8 months in advance was what we said would enable my presence as I am very requested but this is also due to my team executing the same level of service as me. Unfortunately, the situation I explained to you with my daughter had to take precedence that day and was unforeseen until the very last minute. As we recall you were coming from a cruise ship stop which could not be rescheduled and so I thought is best to cover the tour instead of cancel. I do not think this should destroy my company’s reputation. You were provided an excellent and flexible tour trying to accommodate all of your pre requisites and my driver added all sorts of experiences to your day. To say it was only “good” means you did not appreciate what we tried to do for you. I couldn’t have done any better a tour than what you received. Carmine is the head of the company and instilled in every driver how he expects his tours handled.

Amazing…exceeded our expectations
Carmine was amazing communicating before the tour. He answered all of our questions and made sure we knew where to meet him. From the first contact, he was a pleasure to spend time with as he showed us the area he calls home. We’ve traveled extensively, been on great tours, but Carmine’s passion and love for Napoli and the Almalfi Coast makes his tour experience unforgettable. He took extra care of my mom with door-to-door service. We lived our little “secret” stops and appreciated a few surprises as well. Our farm to table lunch was amazing. Carmine took time to walk us through the farm showing us the food growing that we were about to eat. My 14 year old daughter loved it as well, and Carmine was very inclusive with her. Our day was amazing l! Thank you Carmine for treating us like family and showing us the home you love so passionately!

An Amazing Day Along the Coast!
We had an extraordinary day exploring the beauty of the Amalfi Coast with Manuel. He had an joyful spirit that was contagious and treated us to many wonderful sites that we would have never found on our own along the coast. The day was breath-taking and we felt like special guests. Lunch at the rooftop restaurant had the most amazing views and delicious food. We all agreed that Manuel was one of the best tour guides that we have ever had. Thank you for a wonderful day! I will be sending many clients your way due to our amazing experience!
