Escape the port or hotel for a few hours to visit a licensed wildlife sanctuary where capybaras and squirrel monkeys live in an environment designed to replicate their natural habitat. This is not a petting zoo or photo-prop experience — animals here choose when and how to interact with visitors, and can disengage at any time. Your guide will walk you through the sanctuary, explain the diet, enrichment, and veterinary care each species receives, and give you the chance to sit quietly nearby while capybaras and monkeys approach on their own terms. No animal is held, restrained, or costumed for photos. The facility operates under official authorization from the Dominican Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (VABP-12504).

    Private waterfall tour.

This tour was amazing, easy and fun. We were picked up right at the pier, then we went to the falls in a private car. We were able to bypass all of the big tours and leap right to the front. The driver, photographers, guide at the falls and everyone were amazing attentive and FUNNY!! We enjoyed seeing the coffee, cigars and chocolate stop. The chocolate drink was heaven. Overall, best excursion experience.
