Visiting the Blue Grotto is not always possible because the opening of the cave depends on weather and sea conditions. Great excursion

The boat was very nice and felt like there was plenty of space for all the passengers to spread out and relax. The captain pointed out sites, let us get in to swim twice and we got to see the blue grotto! Also had snacks, water, prosecco and towels for us. All in all great value for the price. Ours was more relaxing, less of a party if that’s the vibe you’re looking for. But made friends on board so that was fun.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the boat, the swimming stops, and of course, the Blue Grotto! We’re also happy that you appreciated the space on board, the snacks, drinks, and towels. It’s wonderful to know that you had a relaxing time and even made some new friends along the way! Thank you for highlighting the experience and its great value. We hope to welcome you back on board for another memorable day on the Amalfi Coast. - Positano Boats Team

What a nice ride/boat...

What a nice ride/boat tour. We didn’t get to see the Blue Grotto due to the waves, but still a very beautiful tour with amazing scenery. One of the highlights of our trip!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the boat tour and that it was one of the highlights of your trip. While we're sorry the sea conditions prevented a visit to the Blue Grotto, we're glad the stunning scenery and overall experience still made for a memorable day. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure along the Amalfi Coast in the future! - Positano Boats Team

Best Day Boat Trip Ever

Amazing experience highly recommend it. Very sexy boat, clean and great captain. Wide enough for big wave chop too. Only 12 of you on the boat but plenty of room 6 on the cushioned bow and 6 on the shaded cushioned stern. Great set up.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such an amazing experience and enjoyed the comfort of the boat, even in choppier conditions. It's great to know that the spacious layout and small-group setting helped make the day even more enjoyable. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you on board again for another unforgettable adventure along the Amalfi Coast! - Positano Boats Team

Excellent

Amazing experience. Exactly what the description says. Boat tour around capri, stopped and provided time to go into the blue grotto, snorkeling in two different places in Capri and Gallo Lungo. Guide was excellent who provided information on every sight. Provided towels, snorkel gear, snacks, drinks, prosecco, lemoncello spritz. I would book again.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your beautiful review! We're happy to hear the tour met your expectations and that you enjoyed the Blue Grotto, snorkeling stops, and the beautiful sights around Capri. It's great to know you appreciated the onboard amenities and your guide's insights throughout the day. We're delighted you joined us for your Capri adventure and we look forward to welcoming you back on board in the future! - Positano Boats Team

Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.

How much does Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano cost?

+

Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.

Is Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Capri Boat Tour - Snorkeling, Sunset & Blue Grotto from Positano start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Positano?

+

On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Positano?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
