    Avoid - does not deliver

Our driver from Capetown was great. Food was ok, although a little cold. We weren’t told much of layout of Aquila so only knew restaurant and toilets. The “Safari” was disappointing, could have been in a zoo with a little extra scenery. We did get up close to elephants which was great. Giraffes were in an enclosure and barely visible, lions were in another enclose and not visible. I know they are “wild” animals and can choose but did not get safari experience promised. I feel Iet down!! Would not go here again

    Disappointed

The tour guy pick me up and because I was alone he decide to cancel. So because he arrive late and it was already 09:30 I couldn’t pick up another’s tour and lost my opportunity to go see the animals in their habitat in Africa.

    10/10 Experience!

It was amazing! Everything about it. I driver was entertaining and provided us with great conversation during the 2 hour car ride but also let us just ride in silence, enjoy the views and even sleep a little (we were so tired). When we got to the game drive (safari) we were greeted with wine and served lunch (massive buffet), then we began the tour. We saw the big 5 (the lions didn’t want to come out at first). Our tour guide from the game drive radioed for assistant and next thing we know ALL the lions were out. It was a great experience and I would truly recommend. My only regret is we didn’t stay a night at the safari!

    Excursion Cancelled

Unfortunately our trip was cancelled at the last minute - instead of pick up we received in person cancellation. It was nice that the gentleman came to inform us the trip was cancelled (he did email us at 830 that morning to say it would be cancelled but we did not have wifi at the time and were unable to get the message). Our trip was originally scheduled for 9am and the day before trip was to happen we received confirmation that we would be picked up at noon. The trip was cancelled due to the park being very busy despite us booking excursions weeks in advance. We are just awaiting our refund now.

    Great safari package

This was amazing! We were picked up from our hotel in Cape Town and Samora drove us to the Aquila Safari. We saw all the animals and had a great time. Highly recommend.

Cape Town - Wildlife Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Cape Town - Wildlife Safari cost?

    +

Prices start at $305 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cape Town - Wildlife Safari take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Cape Town - Wildlife Safari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Town - Wildlife Safari?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cape Town - Wildlife Safari suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cape Town - Wildlife Safari?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cape Town - Wildlife Safari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
