An awesome ride
My 2 sons and I did the off road experience in Moab at Canyonlands with Charlotte as our guide. She was simply amazing. The off-road experience was absolutely phenomenal. A real thrill ride. Charlotte’s driving skills were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. We made memories for sure.

Fabulous experience
Matt was one of the best trail guides that we have ever met . Very experienced and confident at navigating the terrain in a large vehicle- making you feel safe and at the same time extremely knowledgeable about the surroundings. He definitely has the right personality for the job.

An Epic Adventure
It was an epic adventure! This amazing 4x4 excursion allows you to experience the Needles district of Canyonlands which isn’t possible to see on your own for most Moab visitors. The rock formations are out of this world and the hike was what we were hoping for. We’re active hikers in our mid-late 60’s. Cody who was our driver and guide was an outstanding host. He was informative, friendly and his driving skills were top notched—handling the rugged terrain with precision. Highly recommend it with NavTec Expeditions-they are true experts in off the road excursions.
Response from the operator: Hi there, Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave this awesome detailed review. Secondly, we are absolutely elated to hear that you had a great time out in the Needles District with Cody. It is such a special place and we are glad that you got to experience it. We'd be happy to take you out on another epic adventure, anytime! Best, Sierra

lovely trip, but to a different part of a Canyonlands
I went during slow season so the company switched me to the White Rim trail full day tour instead. Our 4x4 tour of Island in the Sky and White Rim was absolutely incredible! We were literally by ourselves and avoided the crowds. The views were breathtaking, but what made it unforgettable was our guide, Adam. He was hilarious, full of fascinating facts, and made everyone feel comfortable and engaged the whole time. His stories brought the canyon’s history to life, and his humor kept us laughing even on the bumpy trails. You can tell he loves what he does! If you’re visiting Canyonlands, do yourself a favor and ask for Adam — you won’t regret it!

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moab.
How much does Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4 cost?
+
Prices start at $400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moab usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4 take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moab is not rushed.
Is Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4 worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 302 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moab, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4 suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4?
+
Around 106 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moab can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moab and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Canyonlands National Park Needles District by 4x4 start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moab within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moab?
+
Moab is the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands: sunrise arch tours, 4x4 runs on Hell's Revenge, Colorado River rafting, canyoneering and dark-sky stargazing. Park entry timing systems change often, so we weight tours that handle reservations for you. On Outty we rank every Moab experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HIGHLY RATED U-DRIVE Moab Hell’s Revenge UTV Off-Road Adventure, BEST! Hell's Revenge U-Drive 4X4 Tour in Moab +Dinosaur Tracks!, 5-STAR Moab Hell's Revenge UTV U-DRIVE TOUR + DINO TRACKS. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moab?
+
April to May and September to October, avoiding peak summer heat. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moab?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
