Our Child Was Injured — Think Twice Before Booking
⭐ 1/5 — Parents and Customers, Please Think Twice Before Booking I waited to write this review because I wanted to give the company an opportunity to properly address what happened to our daughter during our zipline excursion. Unfortunately, after our experience and their response afterward, I believe other families should know what happened. During the excursion, my young daughter participated in the lemur interaction. A lemur suddenly bit/scratched her directly on the face, extremely close to her eye. We feel incredibly fortunate it did not make contact with her eye itself. Months later, she still has a visible scar on her face. I also want to be clear that our daughter was NOT teasing, grabbing, hitting, or intentionally provoking the animal. She was nervous and simply moved her arm slightly. That seems like completely normal and foreseeable behavior for a young child around an unfamiliar animal. If such a small movement can cause this type of reaction, parents should be specifically warned about that risk BEFORE allowing their children to participate. We were never specifically warned that a lemur could bite or scratch a child's face. Had we known, we could have made an informed decision about whether we were willing to take that risk. What disappointed us even more was the company's response afterward. When we raised our concerns, they pointed to the waiver we had signed. Yes, we signed a waiver, but it contained general language about risks. We were never specifically warned about the possibility of a lemur biting or scratching our child's face. I understand that ziplining, adventure activities, and animal interactions involve risks and that accidents can happen. But I do not believe a waiver should be the answer to everything after a customer — especially a child — is actually injured. We reported the incident, have documentation and photographs of the injury, and repeatedly tried to follow up. Instead of meaningful communication or a reasonable resolution, their response regarding the waiver left us feeling that our daughter's injury was being dismissed. This is also something to consider EVEN IF YOU PLAN TO SKIP THE ANIMAL INTERACTION and only do the ziplining. My concern is not just the lemur incident — it is how the company responded when an injury happened. Based on our experience, I would personally question how they would respond if someone were injured while ziplining or during another activity. Would the injury be seriously addressed, or would you simply be reminded that you signed a waiver? I cannot say how they would handle every incident. I can only share how our daughter's injury was handled, and I believe customers should consider that BEFORE booking and signing the waiver. A waiver should not replace appropriate safety precautions, clear warnings about significant risks, responsible supervision, or proper follow-up after an injury. Our daughter was fortunate that the injury was next to her eye rather than her eye itself, but she is still left with a visible facial scar. I sincerely hope the company reviews its safety procedures and provides parents with clearer warnings in the future. Based on both the incident and how our concerns were handled afterward, I cannot recommend this company, especially to families with young children.
Response from the operator: IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION FOR FUTURE TRAVELERS: OUR INVESTIGATION WITH THE ACTIVITY OPERATOR CONFIRMED THAT THIS RESERVATION WAS NOT BOOKED THROUGH GOPRALIA TOURS OR THROUGH THIS GOPRALIA/VIATOR LISTING. First and foremost, we are truly sorry to learn that your daughter was injured, and we sincerely hope she has recovered well. After receiving this review, we immediately investigated the matter with the activity operator. Their management confirmed that this reservation did not originate through GoPralia Tours and that the case has been handled directly by their management team and insurance provider. We would also like to clarify that GoPralia does not advertise, promote, or include the animal interaction mentioned in this review as part of the Canopy Los Veranos Zipline experience we sell. We understand that any incident involving a child is deeply concerning, and we respect the seriousness of the situation. However, in fairness to future travelers, we believe it is important to clarify that the reservation, the animal interaction, and the subsequent handling of this case were not part of a service booked or managed by GoPralia Tours. We wish your daughter and your family all the best.

Awesome time!
Excellent time and a great adventure. The crew is engaging and very kind and it was a great time! I have one daughter who is afraid of heights and the other is a major thrill seeker, both were extremely comfortable and enjoyed the trip. The group leaders did a wonderful job helping to ensure everyone felt safe and confortable while also having a great time. Everyone was very engaged and practiced safety. There is a nice river pool and water slides and swings at the end of the trip and included is also some animals to pet, hold or just visit. There is also a restaurant on site and the food was absolutely delicious. Great staff and we felt very safe. There are lockers for your bags, there are bathrooms and changing rooms available if you want to swim afterwards. There is also water stops along the zip line trails which was great because it was hot! Edgar, Alexis, Fernando, Chica and all the rest of the crew were fun, funny, and made it a great experience! Will recommend to all friends and family traveling to Puerto Vallarta

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Canopy Los Veranos Zipline: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Canopy Los Veranos Zipline cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Canopy Los Veranos Zipline take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Canopy Los Veranos Zipline worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Canopy Los Veranos Zipline?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Canopy Los Veranos Zipline suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Canopy Los Veranos Zipline?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Canopy Los Veranos Zipline start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
