My First Scooter Lesson — An Amazing Experience

I had such a great experience with my scooter class! Agus arrived early to pick me up, and I was honestly so nervous because I had never ridden a scooter before. Agus was incredibly patient, encouraging, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole session. By the end of the class, I was able to ride the scooter with much more confidence — something I didn’t think I could do at the beginning! I definitely recommend this scooter school to anyone who feels nervous, lacks confidence, or has never ridden a scooter before. Agus is an amazing teacher and will help you feel safe while learning. Thank you

From zero to confident in two lessons

Two 2-hour lessons with Mamo and I went from zero to being genuinely confident on the road. He is patient, clear, and calm. Bali traffic is intimidating, but Mamo breaks it down and it doesn't feel scary. If you're nervous about riding here, book him — you'll leave actually able to ride. Highly recommend.

    Прекрасное обучение

Excellent training. I had Mamo as my instructor. In just three lessons, I became confident riding on Bali's roads. The first lesson was at school. The second was one hour at school and the second hour on the streets. The third was entirely on the streets of Bali on my rented scooter. It also rained during the last lesson, so now I'm ready to ride any distance and in any weather conditions. I really liked everything, I recommend it.

    Bali Canggu Scooter Lessons

Krisna and his team are Amazing!! Krisna’s prompt communication with information, links, direction, answering all question, was reassuring and made me confident that I was being looked after and thoroughly informed of my options, outstanding guidance. Mamo was my instruction, his delivery on going over the scooter, breaking options, practising stopping on a hill, he has so many essential golden nugget tips that only locals know. My favourite was being able to follow him around in the traffic on the road with an ear piece, this allowed him to give be clear instructions ahead of turning and also helped me Relax bcuz I had direct communication with him. Now each time I fly into Bali I will be going out for an hour with him to get back in the swing of Bali traffic. 10/10 It’s so affordable and I Highly recommend!!

Canggu Scooter Lessons: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Canggu Scooter Lessons cost?

    +

Prices start at $513000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Canggu Scooter Lessons take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Canggu Scooter Lessons worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 206 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Canggu Scooter Lessons?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Canggu Scooter Lessons suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Canggu Scooter Lessons?

    +

Around 72 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Canggu Scooter Lessons start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
