    Fun to learn about tacos...

Fun to learn about tacos and find other restaurants that we wouldn't normally try on our own. Sasha was knowledgeable and kept us entertained.

Seems like an awesome experience, but in the end we couldn't go

First of all, we didn't go. We booked days in advance because the tour looks awesome. Were really looking forward to it before coming to Cancun. However, I got really ill a few hours before the tour, so we couldn't go. I texted (and e-mailed and called) the operators to let them know and ask whether we could book another day. No response. The next day I got a response asking for my booking number. Gave it within minutes, but never head back from them even though I tried to contact them several ways. I didn't necesarrily expect a full refund, or a free re-booking, but an answer would have been nice. Had we known that we couldn't rebook we would probably just have booked another tour (with them or others). Because of the lact of response, we ended up not going on any tours. A shame!

Response from the operator: Dear guest 361pal, Thank you for considering us for your Cancun vacation experience. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you faced. However, it seems there might have been a mix-up, as your reservation was not with our company. We are currently offering two tours: the Mexican Cooking Class and the Evening Food Tour. The Taco Tour will resume at the end of the year, once we have enhanced our venues. It has not been offered to the public since February of this year. We understand your disappointment and frustration regarding your illness and the lack of communication. It's unfortunate you didn't receive a response despite your efforts to reach out. We prioritize guest satisfaction and typically offer rebooking options at no extra cost in case of illness. We kindly request that you redirect your review to the correct tour and company, as misattributed reviews can affect the credibility of TripAdvisor's honest opinions for future travelers and tarnish our company's image. Should you have any further inquiries or wish to discuss your case directly, please don't hesitate to contact us at +52 998 385 3854. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on one of our tours in the future and provide you with an unforgettable experience. Best regards, The Shore Excursions Team

    Incredible

    Book it already!

If you’re thinking of booking to get out of the resort atmosphere, just click the button. If you’re scared cause you think you’ll get kidnapped… it ain’t that deep here, promise. Diego was our guide, and he did an OUTSTANDING job. Food was excellent, beer was good, Agra frescos were on point. You’re not just eating tacos either, they bring out all sorts of sides and dips… bring some pecos with you, children will be selling trinkets at the restaurant, they’re cheap and cute. The park you go to at the end, full of little food stands, shops, and other items. You have a perfect chance if you left any room for food to get elotes or raspados. So yeah, hit the book button, leave your resort, explore Mexico and it’s culture, get fat happy and drunk.

Response from the operator: Dear Kayla_H, Thank you so much for choosing our Flavors of Mexico: Cancun Taco and Beer Food Tour to experience the authentic tastes of Cancun! 🌮🍻 We're thrilled to hear that Diego provided you with an outstanding experience, and you enjoyed the delicious food, beer, and aguas frescas. It's great to know that you embraced the opportunity to explore beyond the resort and immerse yourself in Mexican culture. Your kind words and enthusiasm mean the world to us! We hope to have the pleasure of serving you again in the future. We hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future. Cheers to getting fat and happy, in the beautiful Mexican Caribbean! :) Tropical regards, The Shore Excursions Team

Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cancun Taco & Mexican Beer Food Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
