    Safety issues! Beware!

I have used this company several times in the past and my experiences have been positive. However on our last trip our driver was either extremely tired or taking drugs. He kept falling asleep at the wheel and my mother had to wake him up on two occasions as he was weaving in and out of traffic. We were very scared and it was a very stressful ride to the airport. Our drivers eyes kept closing and then he would start very heavy breathing as if he was snoring. We wanted to pull over and get out of the car however it was the freeway and we didn’t feel safe to do so. When I informed the company of our dangerous experience, they did not address it and said they would “Check the cameras” and we never heard anything further. Therefore, we would NEVER use this company again as we were extremely terrified with our driver and very disappointed with the response from the company. Obviously they do not care about passenger safety or driver quality.

Response from the operator: Thank you in advance for your comment, but suggesting the driver was under the influence of drugs without conducting a test seems to me to be a very serious accusation. Furthermore, you informed me after the driver dropped you off at your destination that he was falling asleep, slurring his words, or that you had to speak to him several times to wake him up. Had you contacted me immediately, we would have taken immediate action. Also, when you called, I told you we would review the security camera footage to see what happened. I don't know what you were seeking—a refund for the trip or what your intentions were—but as I mentioned at the beginning, thank you for informing us of this.

    No communication

Slow and no communication. Don’t be cheap if you can afford a vacation. This company is not known and no one knows about it. Don’t book unless you want to wait and have to reach out to them yourself at all times.

    Return Customer

Ive used betogo for multiple trips to Cancun and always had a good experience. Drivers are on time and friendly. They are at the airport with a sign staying your parties name, making them easy to locate. Communication with customer service is flawless and they respond very quick. Would definitely recommend them to folks wanting to get out of the typical high airport pricing but still want a quality and safe shuttle. No frills.

Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.

How much does Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay take?

    +

Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.

Is Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cancun Airport Private Transfer to/from Akumal Half Moon Bay start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tulum?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tulum?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
