An absolute gem!
This Ferrata&Zip Line adventuristic experience is absolute gem! I've taken it end of April 2026. The group was of 7 random tourists and 2 local guides, weather was sunny and temperature was appx. 25 degrees Celsius. I had no previous alpine climbing experience, it was my first time with climbing gear and for sure was my first time taking ferrata climb of any kind. And - it was fantastic! I would recommend it with whole my heart to everyone who yearns for an adventure off the bitten path, definitely. David, local guide, was really radiating confidence, he was very approachable and has made all of us feel safe and energized at the same time throughout this journey. You cannot miss with this tour!

A DREAM COME TRUE
Amazing experience! The Via Ferrata at Caminito del Rey offers breathtaking views and an incredible sense of adventure. Our guide, David, was very professional, friendly, and made everyone feel safe. The admission fee is fair, though it would be nice if lunch was included—just a cereal bar, crisps, and juice were provided, so eat a full breakfast before the 8 a.m. pickup and bring extra snacks. The whole visit takes around 3–4 hours with no toilets or exit routes, so you must commit once you start. It wasn’t busy—just one group ahead of us. The atmosphere was peaceful and exciting. Best for thrill-seekers and nature lovers!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your great review! We’re really pleased to hear you had such an amazing experience on the Via Ferrata at Caminito del Rey and enjoyed the stunning scenery and sense of adventure throughout the route. It’s also great to know that David made you feel safe and well looked after at all times. We appreciate you sharing your useful tips for future participants as well – it’s always helpful for others to know how to come prepared and make the most of the activity. Thanks again for joining us and for your recommendation. We’d love to see you again soon for another adventure in Andalucía!

Good family fun day but a bit hot!!
This was good fun but probably a little harder in the heat than we expected. Loads to do if you are brave and like heights! Good upper body strength is a bonus for escaping the many many zip lines!

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.
How much does Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $114 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.
Is Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Caminito del Rey - Via Ferrata & Zip Line Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Malaga?
+
On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Malaga?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Malaga?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
