Excellent tour better than expected
Excellent tour much better than expected. Not suitable for anyone with any walking issues and not suitable for kids. For very fit and healthy adults its the best tour. Not too much history just enough and fun. Thrill seekers will love this tour. Wouldn't do if too hot either the day we did it was perfect 27 degrees. The restaurant stop you guys need to change though as its not suitable to only offer this cafe with low standards as your food for the day. Most options are pork or dairy so its the only thing i thought was bad. And looked unhygienic with flies in pastry cabinets. The tour guide leader benjimin was excellent and cant recommend him enough. He made the experience really good. Would have liked longer to drink and eat at food stands at the end of the hike. But the actual tour was 11/10. Only this stop in village lets it down.

Go for it!
Great experience! Our group of five aged between 11 -69 loved it. It was far less challenging walk than we expected. The tour was very well organised and the views are amazing. Our guides - Monica and Jennifer were great as well. We would definitely recommend to the nature lovers.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted that the whole group, from age 11 to 69, enjoyed the Caminito del Rey and found the walk more accessible than expected. We’ll also be happy to pass your kind words on to Monica and Jennifer. Thank you for recommending us to nature lovers!

Amazing experience
Take water and snacks. Suncream is also a must. The walk is not strenuous but can be hard in places in the heat. The views are amazing. Wonderful experience all round
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the experience and the incredible views. Your tips about bringing water, snacks and sun protection are especially helpful during the warmer months. We really appreciate your recommendation!

Caminito del Rey
The tour was great. Pick-up from the meeting point was easy. The guide on the bus was fine. A different guide, speaking English, provided plenty of interesting facts. The views were breathtaking, and crossing two suspension bridges was an unforgettable experience. The only minor drawback was that the pace was a bit too fast. But I definitely recommend it.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your recommendation! We’re delighted that the Caminito del Rey left such a great impression on you. We also appreciate your constructive feedback, which helps us continue refining the experience for future visitors. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure with Visitanddo!

Well run. Mica was a great guide. Very cool experience. August is very hot so plan for heat and go earlier in day if possible.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed the experience and that Mica made such a positive impression. August can be especially hot, so your advice about preparing for the heat is very useful for future visitors.

Why this scores 87
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.
How much does Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol cost?
+
Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.
Is Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 491 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol?
+
Around 172 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Caminito del Rey Day Trip from Costa del Sol start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Malaga?
+
On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Malaga?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Malaga?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
