Very well worth it

this was a great tour and Harry was a great guide. We really enjoyed all the sites we saw and got great pictures and videos. Harry did a great job explaining everything to us and chose a great restaurant where we enjoyed a very traditional Malaysian lunch. I highly recommend this tour

Very poor

Was a huge let down compared to the information on the website. The guide was an unsafe driver. The van that was used definitely needed some serious attention to safety.

Response from the operator: Dear Kerri-Lee Beahan, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Regarding the driving concerns, please understand that the roads to Cameron Highlands are indeed narrow and congested by nature, which can sometimes feel challenging. Our drivers are trained and experienced to navigate these conditions safely. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. Warm regards, M. Zaid

Excellent driver & service

Our driver Joseph was excellent. He showed up on time, was a very careful driver and flexible with what we wanted to see and do. It’s an extremely long day so we wish we had planned an overnight trip, but we made the best of it. Our only complaint is that the company website has the wrong name on our apartment/hotel. There is no such thing as “Robertson Mocha Suites.” It’s confusing and needs to be just The Robertson.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a great experience with Joseph, and that he was able to provide excellent service throughout the tour. We understand that it was a long day, and we appreciate your flexibility in making the most of it. We also apologize for the confusion with the hotel name and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We will make sure to update the information on our website to avoid any future issues for other guests. Thanks again for your review, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in the future! Best Regards M.Zaid

Traumatising experience

We were completely traumatised. On the way the driver consistently drove at 149k in a 110k and at times over 150k. He bullied drivers to get out of the way frequently under taking. We had three near misses high speed crashes. We also had one low speed crash as the driver forced his way through slow moving traffic. There was no guided tour practically. The only good thing was the temple which was the reason we chose this tour. Its definitely worth visiting with an alternative tour. The tea plantation was a great view but otherwise not worthit. The bee farm was not worth it either. The only reason we didn't abandon and get public transport was that we were miles from anywhere. We are still considering reporting the driver to the police. .

Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.

How much does Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour) cost?

+

Prices start at $43 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour) take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.

Is Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour) suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour)?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cameron Highlands Tour From Kuala Lumpur (Private Tour) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?

+

On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
