A 8 HOUR RETURN DRIVE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF TEA PLANTS ON A HILL. THIS ISNT A TOUR - YOU LEARN NOTHING

I must be on a different planet to everyone else who does a 12 hour Cameron Highlands tour It was dreadful. First stop the butterfly farm. This place is disgusting and cruel. Lots of dead animals and the animals not dead look as though they want to be. Inhumane areas to keep animals. The strawberry picking - we are in our 50s and didn't want to pick and pay for strawberrys in a humid strawberry enclosed area. Then we went to a few stalls selling vegetables and got out of the car and walked past the stalls , then got back in the car. This was bizarre. Why would we want to buy vegetables when we are staying in a hotel? The tea plantation was really poor. We went to the bharat tea plantation. There was no information at all. All you do is walk up a hill which has a sign which says 'cameron Highlands' There is no guide , no information on anything about tea production. We expected a lot more. The cafe after was awful - awful tea and I edible cakes ! So bear in mind you are paying £75pp to sit in a car for 8 hours to drive to take a photo of a hill with tea plants on, see a few small animals look sad at a butterfly farm and pick strawberrys. It's not a great day out.

Very nice day tour

We traveled in a small group of 3 person (2 were elderly). We searched the day tour randomly via websites, received quick response from the organizer (Ganna) and decided to join the Cameron Highlands day tour. That day we started with an on time hotel pick up by Amuthen@David quite early in the morning. The day was with nice weather most of the time, nice views and we enjoyed a lot. David took good care of us along the day, with sufficient information about the place. The outcome and experience of the day was much exceeded our expectation.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your comments. We have been working extremely hard to earn reviews such as yours, and we really do appreciate the feedback. Do come again

Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.

How much does Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis cost?

+

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.

Is Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cameron Highlands Tour with Scenic Buggy Ride on Private Basis start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?

+

On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
