One of the Best Experiences We Had in Cali
We had an absolutely wonderful Alameda Market tour with Juan Camilo from Cali Cultural Tours. This was one of the highlights of our time in Cali. We tasted an incredible variety of fruits, many of which we had never seen or tried before, and every new tasting seemed to surprise us more than the last. We also tried fruit ice cream, local cheese, pastries, and other specialties. The whole experience was delicious and genuinely eye-opening. Juan Camilo is humble, kind, extremely knowledgeable, and deeply connected to the city. His tour goes far beyond simply tasting food. He gives a rich introduction to Cali’s history, culture, traditions, and everyday life. I especially appreciated how much of the experience connected us with local and traditional businesses and the people behind them. It felt personal, authentic, and rooted in the community rather than touristy or scripted. He explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the tour. We left not only very full, but also with a much deeper appreciation for Cali and its culture. I am extremely grateful for the time, care, and thought he put into the experience. I would absolutely book another tour with Juan Camilo and highly recommend him to anyone visiting Cali.

Delicious and informative tour of Alameda Market
Juan was the perfect tour guide; passionate about his city and culture, and knowledgeable on everything we wanted to learn. He took us all through the Alameda market where we sampled lots of different fruits and other foods. I loved seeing his relationship with the owners and producers. He wove in the history of Colombia and Cali with the foods of its land and people. And he was really easy to communicate with to coordinate the tour! Would love to come back for another tour with Juan!

Great Colombian food experience with Juan Camilo
Juan took us around the market and showed us lots of different fruits, local foods, even some flowers! We learnt a lot about Colombian culinary culture and tried many, many different delicious, exotic fruits local to Colombia that I’ve never seen before. Juan is lovely - very knowledgeable, mellow, and funny. Ended with coffee at an authentic Colombian coffee shop. Would definitely recommend.

Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cali.
How much does Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings cost?
+
Prices start at $9 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cali usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cali is not rushed.
Is Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cali, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cali can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cali and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cali Food Market Tour Galería Alameda with Exotic Tastings start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cali within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cali?
+
On Outty we rank every Cali experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include A day to enjoy nature and have an adventure in the Jordan river, Shared Tour of the Historical and Cultural Center of Cali, City Tour + Commune 13 Medellin. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cali?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cali?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
