    Great view of Kotor Bay

I strongly recommend taking this cable car because the view is breathtaking. At the start you can see Tivat and the entrance to Kotor Bay. Then on the other side of the hill, we have a great view of Kotor Bay. When you arrive at the top, you must go for the walk because the view is superb, we never tire of it. I advise you to go in the morning, when the crowd is less.

    Great experience!!

Cable car itself goes well and smoothly. The walks you can make up top are not well signposted so several people lost or walked in circles. The Alpine Coaster is not expensive and highly recommended. Several food and beverage outlets upstairs with beautiful views over the bay. Has a lot of potential to become a Topoaccomodation with even more walking routes but with better signage.

Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for your review!

    Customer services for cable car

I did the cable trip with friends to see the sunset. We got our tickets and then decided to have a drink in the restaurant top of the mountain. We went outside to take pictures, upon return my receipt and ticket wasn't on table. I asked the staff and they all said nothing has been handed in. I was not allowed to go back down on the cable car and had to pay £13 on top of the ticket price. I was advised to email and complain to customer services so had no choice but to pay again. I had a sprained ankle and wasn't able to walk down especially as it was now late. Customer services were not helpful. Be careful not to get conned . I was told it's my fault for losing the ticket!!!

Response from the operator: Dear fellow Travelers, You left review of your experience with Cable car Kotor company on wrong address… This is a private tour with a cable car which doesn’t have any connection with Cable car company itself. Please feel free to write to their official page and remove this one. Thanks for your understanding.

    Everything was brilliant

An incredibly wonderful experience. The trip itself takes 11 minutes and took us up 1316 metres. We are relatively old and the wife, who uses poles, was worried that it would be difficult to come along, but it was no problem. The view on the way up is incredibly beautiful and only becomes even more fantastic when you get up, you look down on the tourist boats in Kotor and other mountain peaks of over 1000 metres. At the top, there are various offers from roller coasters to bicycle hire etc. We ate at the new restaurant at the top and had very good food and drink. Recommended

Response from the operator: Tusen takk for din fantastiske anmeldelse!

Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kotor.

How much does Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $217 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kotor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kotor is not rushed.

Is Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kotor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cable Car Lovcen & Kotor Old Town / W Local Licensed Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kotor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kotor?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kotor?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kotor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
