This is much more than a simple treasure hunt – it’s a fun and interactive way to discover both Brussels and Belgian beer! Your dynamic activity host welcomes you at the start, explains the game and sends the teams off on their adventure. From there, you explore Brussels independently, following clues and taking on challenges through must-see landmarks, charming little streets and hidden local spots. Your host remains available throughout the game and meets everyone again at the finish. And the beer is part of the challenge! Along the way, you’ll visit three different bars and take on four blind beer tastings (15 cl each). You’ll have to taste, think and answer questions – and Belgian beer can be surprisingly tricky! At the finish, your host reveals the answers, counts the scores and announces the winning team… who earns eternal glory! Brussels, hidden spots, Belgian beer, culture, competition and lots of fun – all in one experience.

Everyone loved it!
So so good ! Magali is awesome and very knowledgeable, and also helpful (we ran late and did not have a pencil... worst customers ever :-D) and she handled everything with a big smile. It works well for large and smaller groups (we were 10 people and everyone got involved one way or the other, either during the beer blind tasting, or finding images/graffs across the city to take pictures of, or answering beer- Brussels-related questions). Everyone absolutely loved it (especially the groom to be). Thanks Magali!

Really good fun!
I've been living in Brussels for a few years now and was looking to find a fun and different activity to do with some friends I was having over from abroad... and this really fit the bill! It really is a super original way to discover the city and beer! The explanations of the game were given at the beginning with a booklet, they explained the whole procedure, the points, etc. and with that we were sent off for the treasure hunt which was really good fun! We were lucky with the weather too - it was cold but sunny! It was also really entertaining at the end to see what we'd gotten right and wrong in the questions and definitely learned a few new things about beer! I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a fun, new way of experiencing Brussels!

Beyond Disappointing
The high reviews of this activity are baffling. On the positive side, we saw parts of Brussels we had not seen before, and the tour "guide" was sweet. We arrived at the designated meeting spot at the designated time. The guide's English was fair but not great, and to call her a guide is a misnomer. We were of the impression we would have a guide with us. Wrong. She got us beers, gave us a few workbooks to follow, and cut us loose - but not before telling us that the second bar on the tour was closed! We didn't really have much of an idea of what we were to do next. Only the people with workbooks had any idea of what we were doing or where we were going. We finally decided to all work together rather than as separate teams. Regardless, it would have been a far more rewarding experience if each person had a workbook. By the time we got to the second bar, which should have been the third stop, the group was thirsty, hungry, and bored. We ordered food and beer - the samples the tour provides are really just a large taste - and spent so long there the guide texted to find out where we were. We had all been to Brussels before, so as we headed towards the end of the tour, we realized we were at the final bar before having visited the remaining attractions. Since the whole group was disenchanted by the experience, we went into the bar and skipped visiting the final stops. The final bar was the most fun, but not enough to make up for an overall weak and juvenile program.
Response from the operator: Dear Vanity_Case, First of all we'd like to thank you for taking the time to write this review, which is always useful to improve the quality of our services. We sincerely regret that your experience with us did not happen as you would have liked. Nevertheless, we're a bit surprised by your comment. As explained beforehand by mail and by phone, our "Scavenger Hunt Game" is not a guided tour with a guide or workbook for everybody. We organise such guided tours as well, but you signed up for the "Scavenger Hunt Game", which is a game ; our goal is to provide an original way to discover Brussels, his little hidden places and beer. Perhaps, this way of discovering Brussels was not adapted to your group. In Brussels, we are full every weekend and organize this game as well for private groups during the week. Our customers appreciate to have some competition in between them and discovering our city in an original way. Families, group of friends, teambuildings or incentives, locals celebrating an anniversary, individual travelers or group of travelers from all over the world, etc. We keep striving to give our clients the best experience. Our game started to be organised in Lille 5 years ago ; we are now active in Brussels, Strasbourg, Paris, Bordeaux and more soon. We are deeply sorry if you didn't appreciated the activity and we sincerely hope that you will give Brussels a second chance. Our city is great, I hope you will find a way to experience it in the way that suits your group. Sincerely yours, Team of Beer Discoveries/L'Echapppée Bière

More than a walk in the park
We went on the treasure hunt with beer tasting with some apprehension as almost all of those taking part were French speakers. We needed have worried as Tom, the guy who told us what we needed to do related the instructions fluidly in both languages. There were some changes made to the route which caused a little confusion but we still worked it all out in the end. As well as finding your way around the route you have to locate 3 of the 4 bars where you will sample beer. In each you must analyse the beer and complete the questionnaire. It's not as complicated as it sounds and you will see areas which you probably wouldn't see otherwise. We came 3rd out of about 7 or 8 groups so were very happy with that. I would recommend the tour.

Great fun!
We had a great time completing the treasure hunt/beer tasting! Went with friends who haven't been to Brussels before and they really enjoyed it. Fun way to see the city, great beers and very well organised. Best for groups of 4+ people!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Brussels.
How much does Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt cost?
+
Prices start at €35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Brussels usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Brussels is not rushed.
Is Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Brussels, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Brussels can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Brussels and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Brussels within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Brussels?
+
On Outty we rank every Brussels experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hungry Mary's Famous Beer and Chocolate Tour in Brussels, Brussels Chocolate Beer Waffle and Belgian Whiskey All-in-One (Small Group) Tour, Brussels: Historical Walking Tour with Chocolate & Waffle Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Brussels?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Brussels?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt?
+
Included: an animator always available; 4 beer tastings (around 15cl) challenge; and Enjoy Brussels in a nice way. Not included: Lunch; Gratuities; and Hotel pickup and drop-off. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt?
+
Meet your host at the correct entrance of Le Marché des Halles: from inside, next to Friture Bouillon; from outside, directly opposite Café Le Roi des Belges. Both refer to the same entrance. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
What languages is Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt offered in?
+
It is offered in English and French. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Brussels & Beer Treasure Hunt?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

+
The operator notes: Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
