My day at the zoo
Nicely organized zoo in a smaller town compared to some of the larger city zoos. Had a wide variety of animals and interactive and educational activities for young children and teens.

Good times esp with kids!
We had a very nice outing today with our 2yr old grandson. Lots of exhibits with the animals being quite active and easy to see. Lions, giraffe, bald eagles, monkeys, bears, alligators, jaguars just to name a few. We also rode the train for a short ride to see more a bit action, closer than the upper viewing platforms. The food options were a bit limited. The “splash pad” (a main reason for going) was closed - so that was a big disappointment. Maybe call ahead on that! The $31 for adult seniors seemed a bit high, but somewhat reasonable. A season pass for locals is the way to go. Overall a nice day. VictorB

Night time illumination
We came for the 7pm illumination. It was very cool. Some of the animals were out. The lions were really active making noise, wrestling. Very cute. Not all concessions were open. But it was a fun evening. Definitely need to come back during the day when the majority of the animals are out.

Crap. Unprofessional. Waste of money. Horrible experience.
For the amount of money you get charged per person. I feel you should be notified if there is going to be a field trip with hundreds of kids who were screaming the entire day, pushing tou out of the way because they had no manners or enough supervision it truly ruined our experience and I’d love a refund because it was crap if you ask me..the least they could’ve said is there would be a field trip going on

Great experience
We had a great time!! We bought tickets the night before (Including the zip line package), which enabled us to save money and skip the lines. Volunteers were very friendly. It was a clean zoo and was really impressed with the "natural" habitats for the animals. I highly recommend going! I wanted to go on the kayak tour, but it was too hot. Next time, I would either do that first thing or later in the day. We were also impressed with the help/rescue provided for the animals. We paid additionally to feed the birds and giraffes.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Brevard Zoo General Admission: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.
How much does Brevard Zoo General Admission cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Brevard Zoo General Admission take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.
Is Brevard Zoo General Admission worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Brevard Zoo General Admission?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Brevard Zoo General Admission suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Brevard Zoo General Admission?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Brevard Zoo General Admission start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?
+
Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?
+
March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
