About this experience
Why clear bottom kayaks? Our continued commitment to maintaining safety within our immersive experiences has led us to these technologically advanced kayaks, a finely crafted and mesmerizing new model of kayak. The Innovex material is not glass, but a highly durable plastic composite, like the overhead cock pits of fighter jets. The clear-bottom kayak does not simply lay a window panel under you, but rather a fully-formed inlay of Innovex allows water (and so bioluminescence) to rise around you, preserving the full experience without compromising paddler safety.

Wonderful!
The tour was amazing, it was pretty dark, with really no moon glow so the water was really glowing! Got to see glowing comb jellyfish, mullet jumping. Ben, our guide was awesome 👌 very knowledgeable. He even helped us old folks out of the kayak! 🤣 Highly recommend!

Unique fun experience
Amazing concept, went with teenagers, had a lot of fun, very unique. Definitely recommend. Don’t forget a bug spray.

Cody, Logan and Nelly are the best
Had such a great time with my family on this tour. It was amazing and our tour guides Cody, Logan and Nelly were so knowledgable and super friendly. They made the tour so interesting and fun for all of us. I can't believe I've lived most of my life in Florida and never even knew about the bioluminescene on the coast. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it for tourists and locals. Note: I recommend bringing bug spray and be generous with it.

Once in a lifetime experience
The guides helped making this an extraordinary experience. The bioluminescence was amazing as there was almost no moon. Skies were clear providing cosmic view. The kayak itself was mild, but maybe if you are not fit it may be harder. The guides deliver on every turn and have deep love for nature! We would book them again in a blink of an eye. Eco tourism at its best. So happy we did this!

We had so much fun!
Such an amazing experience! I only recently learned about the bioluminescence tours, and I am so glad I booked with A Day Away. I called them directly to book, and the customer service was fantastic! The launch site was easy to find, with plenty of parking. Check in process was super easy. Our guides, Jackson and Kaitlyn, were so awesome! Very friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and really seemed to enjoy their job. Overall, I enjoyed myself so very much, and will definitely be booking again to see the comb jellies!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.
How much does Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.
Is Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 182 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour?
+
Around 64 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Clear Kayak Bioluminescence Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?
+
Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?
+
March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
