Our Home is located on top of the hill above Sarajevo. That position gives us one of the best views of Sarajevo. We offer cooking lessons at our home because we believe that the only way for our guests to experience local way of living is to visit our home, our garden , make the food we eat almost every day and enjoy in one of the best wines from Herzegovina – you can’t go more local than that. The only condition we have is to bring positive energy and a STRONG will to eat whatever you made at the end of cooking lessons. On the other hand we can promise you a lot of fun and laugh!

amazing experience, must do!!!
Mersiha was so kind and hospitable! She is a wonderful chef and teacher. She explained every step so clearly, and she’s very clearly skilled in what she does. The dolmas + burek we made were so delicious, and i definitely plan on making it again soon. The class is definitely beginner friendly, as Mersiha is there to save the day in case anything goes super wrong! I would definitely book with her again the next time I’m in Sarajevo! A bonus is that she has a great taste in wine + small bites :)

Great cooking class for a non-chef
We had a great experience with Mersiha and Mustafa on our recent trip to Sarajevo. Not only did they welcome our large group into their home, they were so warm, welcoming and kind. We had a great time cooking food and sharing stories. Mersiha's guidance was very fun and helpful, even for someone who doesn't cook! I recommend this class for an authentic Sarajevo experience for anyone interested in getting to know the locals and the culture.

Perfect cosy simpatic
The perfect teambuilding experience! Mersiha and Enisa welcomed our team from Slovenia with incredible warmth and hospitality. We had a fantastic time making traditional sirnica, krompiruša, and delicious meat-stuffed vegetables. To top it all off, they treated us to amazing walnut liqueur and Vranac wine. It felt like cooking with family—highly recommended for any team looking for an unforgettable bonding experience! 🥂

The best cooking lesson!
This Bosnian cooking class with Mersiha and her wonderful mother, Enisa, was so much more than just a cooking class. We learned how to prepare delicious traditional Bosnian dishes, and at the end we got to sit together and enjoy everything we had made — which was absolutely delicious! But what made this experience truly special was the warmth and kindness of Mersiha and Enisa. They welcomed us with such genuine hospitality and made us feel at home from the very beginning. Their stories, laughter, and generosity made the whole experience incredibly personal and memorable. I will never forget this beautiful experience and the wonderful time we shared together. If you have the chance to take this cooking class, I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I’m already looking forward to coming back again! ❤️

Why this scores 85
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bosnian Cooking Lessons: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sarajevo.
How much does Bosnian Cooking Lessons cost?
+
Prices start at $91 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sarajevo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bosnian Cooking Lessons take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sarajevo is not rushed.
Is Bosnian Cooking Lessons worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 316 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sarajevo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bosnian Cooking Lessons?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bosnian Cooking Lessons suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bosnian Cooking Lessons?
+
Around 111 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sarajevo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sarajevo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bosnian Cooking Lessons start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sarajevo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sarajevo?
+
On Outty we rank every Sarajevo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Fall of Yugoslavia, Sarajevo War Tour with Tunnel of Hope Museum and Frontlines, From Sarajevo: Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Study Tour, Tunnel Museum: Bosnian & Yugoslav Wars Tour with War Veteran. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sarajevo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sarajevo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Bosnian Cooking Lessons?
+
Included: Alcoholic beverages; Dinner; and Tea and coffee. Not included: Private transportation. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Bosnian Cooking Lessons?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
What happens to Bosnian Cooking Lessons if the weather is bad?
+
It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Sarajevo. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
What do travelers say about Bosnian Cooking Lessons?
+
Across 316 reviews averaging 5.0 out of 5, recurring themes include food and drink, knowledge and storytelling. The tastings and food stops are a highlight for most reviewers.
