ALEX IS THE BEST!!
YOU MUST HAVE ALEX AS YOUR TOUR GUIDE!!!!! He made our experience 1000000x better. Truly the kindest, most welcoming, heartfelt, knowledgeable, and gracious person. You can tell how much he genuinely loves what he does and loves sharing his home, history, and culture with others. He made every single part of the day feel special, personal, and so much fun. We left feeling like we didn’t just have an incredible tour guide — we made a friend. One of the absolute highlights of our honeymoon and a day we will never forget. Cannot recommend Alex enough!!! 🤍
Response from the operator: Wow, thank you for this wonderful review! We’re thrilled Alex made your Bordeaux food tour so special, and honestly, he’s just as lovely behind the scenes, so we’re not surprised you left as friends. Being part of your honeymoon is such a privilege, and we’ll make sure Alex reads every word. Congratulations to you both, and we hope to welcome you back to Bordeaux for an anniversary glass someday! An interesting whizz...
An interesting whizz around some parts of the city tasting local foods. Finished at a pavement restaurant with wines and charcuterie.

Great wine tour, perfect if you have limited time in Bordeaux.
During this afternoon tour we visited two Grand Cru estates in Saint-Émilion, Château Rol Valentin and Château Vachon. Both are family owned estates that produce a variety of high quality, affordable Bordeaux wines. They both offer shipping services for guest who’d like to continue enjoying their wines when they return home. Both visits were informative about the region, wine making process and the families historical passion for wine production. Along the way our guide, Margot, provided an upbeat interactive experience for our small group which created a positive atmosphere for us strangers to genuinely enjoy the tour together. She’s highly knowledgeable of wine in the region and its historical context. The only constructive feedback I have is that there wasn’t enough free time in the Saint-Émilion village. That was one of the main reasons I booked this tour vs several other options and 20 minutes just wasn’t enough. The tour should be scheduled for a longer duration to accommodate for delays, traffic and any other factor that may limit free time in this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site. The aperitif (wine, cheese, nuts, bread) at the second vineyard was very tasty and added an authentic feel to this touristic excursion. I highly recommend booking this tour if you want to explore more than one Château and do not plan to rent your own vehicle while visiting Saint-Émilion. Many thanks to Margot and the rest of the team for a fun afternoon!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the variety of the two estates, learning about the wines and their history, and the friendly atmosphere within the group. We also really appreciate your kind words about Margot and our team. We’ve taken note of your feedback regarding the free time in Saint-Émilion. We completely understand wanting more time to explore such a beautiful village, and comments like yours are valuable in helping us improve the experience. Thank you again for your recommendation and for spending the afternoon with us! The Bordeaux Wine Trails Team

Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bordeaux.
How much does Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bordeaux usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bordeaux is not rushed.
Is Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bordeaux, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bordeaux can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bordeaux and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bordeaux within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bordeaux?
+
On Outty we rank every Bordeaux experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Saint-Emilion Electric Bike Day Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch, Saint-Émilion Afternoon Tour - 2 Grand crus & French apéritif, Graves & Saint-Emilion Wine Tour | 3 Châteaux & Gourmet Picnic. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bordeaux?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bordeaux?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails?
+
Included: Snacks. Not included: Guide's tips and other food and bevrages not included in the program. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Bordeaux Food Tour - Bordeaux Wine Trails?
