Delicious pasta making experience
Had a wonderful morning with Irene making Ragu and pasta. She was a fabulous teacher and warmly welcomed us into her home for the experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful morning with Irene and enjoyed learning to prepare traditional ragù and fresh pasta. It’s wonderful to know that her warm welcome and passion for teaching made your time in her home so special. We truly appreciate your kind words!

The teacher was...
The teacher was outstanding. We learned to make 3 kinds of pasta by hand, as well as authentic ragu. COME HUNGRY! We were with one other couple - younger and delightful! The only downside was the location - a bit out of town and not easy to find.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review of the Tagliatelle & Ragu home cooking class in Bologna. We are delighted that your teacher made such a strong impression and that you enjoyed learning to make three kinds of pasta by hand alongside authentic ragu. We appreciate your honest note about the location being a bit outside the center and not the easiest to find. That peaceful, authentic setting is part of the farmhouse charm, but we will share clearer directions with future guests to help them arrive without stress. We are so glad it did not take away from a truly memorable meal, and we hope to welcome you back to Bologna.

This was an excellent...
This was an excellent cooking class. The food was amazing as was the host. If we come back to Bologna we would do this again

There’s nothing better for us than knowing guests leave Bologna with great memories, delicious recipes, and a wonderful experience to remember. We would be very happy to welcome you back anytime for another homemade tagliatelle and ragù experience! Thank you again for your kind words!

Odd experience
Very odd experience. In a house, she has cats which it doesn't state that anywhere - if you have an allergy, it would be an issue. Her family came home during and was a bit odd. Food was ok - probably would not do again.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not fully meet your expectations. Our class takes place in a real home environment, which is part of its authentic charm, but we understand this may not suit everyone. We also appreciate your comment regarding the presence of cats and agree that this is important information—especially for guests with allergies—and we will make sure to clarify this in the description. We regret if the presence of family members felt unusual, and we will work to ensure a more consistent and comfortable atmosphere for all guests. Thank you again for your feedback, which helps us improve.

The magic of Ragu
Irene and her family were wonderfully welcoming, creating a relaxed space to learn and ask questions. We loved discovering the regional differences in Italian cooking, and while the stuffed pasta was a bit more challenging than the tagliatelle, tasting all three pastas we made was such a joy. The ragu simple yet incredibly flavourful was a standout. We appreciated the thoughtful accommodations for lactose‑free and vegan diets. One small suggestion would be to add a fresh green salad to balance the otherwise carb‑heavy meal. The wine was a lovely finishing touch. Overall, it was a delightful and enriching experience that we would happily recommend.
Response from the operator: thanks for your review.

How long does Bologna: Tagliatelle & Ragù Home Cooking Class with wine take?

Is Bologna: Tagliatelle & Ragù Home Cooking Class with wine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 61 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bologna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bologna: Tagliatelle & Ragù Home Cooking Class with wine?

Is Bologna: Tagliatelle & Ragù Home Cooking Class with wine suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Bologna: Tagliatelle & Ragù Home Cooking Class with wine?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bologna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bologna and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bologna: Tagliatelle & Ragù Home Cooking Class with wine start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bologna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bologna?
+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bologna?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bologna?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
