Fontana del Nettuno
One of Bologna's most famous landmarks, the Neptune Fountain stands in the square of the same name, opposite the Sala Borsa building. Initially, its location was supposed to be different though. Given its importance, it was planned to be placed in the centre of Piazza Maggiore, which, however, often hosted demonstrations and large events. To preserve it from damage, it was then decided to place it in a more protected location.

Miriam was the best!
This private guided tour for two (wife and me) was an absolute must to begin to understand the history, culture, and food of Bologna. Our guide, Miriam, was joyful, witty, and had an outstanding grasp of all things Bologna. She was extremely careful during our biking...safety was obviously paramount. Miriam did a great job in balancing the more touristy things with those that might be off the beaten path for most visitors (which we prefer). We loved her humor...one of the best guides we've ever encountered (across two-dozen countries)...her knowledge of Bologna's (and Italy's, for that matter) history was superb.

Great way to see the city! Not too busy that you have to stop or feel unsafe on the streets. Would recommend.
Friendly guide and lots of interesting facts about the history of the city. Kept a comfortable pace and had plenty of time to stop and take photos. Would recommend to anyone regardless of skill cycling.

Adrenaline rush I didn't expect
I had no idea how the traffic was going to be and how many times my heart rate was going to sky rocket with close calls of crashing into someone. But it was worth the cost to learn about the city and see so many landmarks.

Best bike tour we’ve been on
Harry was fantastic! The shop was easy to find and they gave us a headset with one earpiece so we could always hear him while riding. We’ve done 4-5 bike tours in the past few years and that’s the first time a guide has had a mic/headset. Game changer, made the ride easy. Also highly recommend a Sunday morning ride - no traffic and quiet streets!
