What you'll see and do
Kemeri National Park
The Kemeri Bog is more than 8000 years old and is one of the biggest bogs in Latvia. In 2013 a boardwalk was set up to create a route through the most beautiful parts of the bog. The boardwalk takes visitors to the world of moss, small pine trees, deep pools, tiny dark lakes, and the smell of wild rosemary. The astute visitor will notice the carnivorous plant of sundew, and a variety of birds – wood sandpipers, white wagtails, tree pipits, and also hear cranes further away. Those who prefer shorter strolls can take the short route (1.4 km), while those who choose the great arc (3.4 km) will be rewarded with the opportunity to climb an observation platform that offers a magnificent view of the bog from above.

Dzintari Forest Park
The Dzintari Forest Park in Jurmala is a great place for both lovers of active recreation, and also for those who prefer a leisurely stroll in the crisp pine air. Its most valuable asset is the 200-year-old pine grove and protected habitats, which have remained intact even to this day. There's a 36m high watchtower in the middle of the park overlooking all directions - you can see the Baltic Sea, the dunes, the pines, the city of Jūrmala and, weather permitting, even some parts of Riga. After this, your guide will take you to a local restaurant, where you'll be able to try traditional as well as contemporary Latvian cuisine.

Jomas Street
Jomas iela (Jomas Street) is the heart of Jurmala. Holidaymakers fill the city’s main street every summer, and it’s said that this is the place where the Resort of Jurmala began. Back when Jurmala was still mostly just large expanses of sand, the wind blew it here and there, naturally forming a series of dunes and valleys. In Latvian, such a valley is called a “joma”, and a main road, now called Jomas iela, was eventually established along one of these valleys. The more than a kilometer long pedestrian street is where the town’s fanciest boutiques and most popular cafés and restaurants are located. Along the way, enjoy Jurmalas wooden architecture that's been a trademark of the city for centuries. These beautiful buildings will lead you right to the most popular beach, so if you plan to swim, don't forget your swimwear. After the beach, your guide will take you back to your hotel or any other location by your choosing.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Riga.
How much does Bogs and Resorts in Jūrmala cost?

Is Bogs and Resorts in Jūrmala worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Riga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bogs and Resorts in Jūrmala?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bogs and Resorts in Jūrmala suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Bogs and Resorts in Jūrmala?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Riga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Riga and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bogs and Resorts in Jūrmala start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Riga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Riga?
+
On Outty we rank every Riga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 countries! Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Bauska castle, Discover Riga Bike Tour, 5,5 Hour Small Group Tour to Hill of Crosses from Riga. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Riga?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Riga?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
