    2. House of Mary is our first stop. A sacred site of faith and history. A thing of beauty. A must see sacred sanctuary where Mother Mary lived. The House of Mary feels less like a place you visit, and more like a place that gently welcomes you. Hidden among peaceful hills and surrounded by whispering trees, it carries a quiet, almost sacred stillness. There is something deeply moving in its simplicity, no grandeur, no excess, just a sense of calm that seems to embrace everyone who steps inside. It is believed to be the final home of Mary, and whether you come for faith, history, or curiosity, the atmosphere touches you in a way that words can hardly explain. Candles flicker softly, prayers are left behind like silent wishes, and time seems to slow down, allowing you to simply be present. In that moment, the world outside fades, and all that remains is a feeling of peace, reflection, and quiet connection. The House of Mary is not just a destination, it is a gentle pause for the soul.

    3. Ephesus Ancient City

After our visit to House of Mary, we will explore the Ephesus city. Ephesus is not just an ancient city, it is a living memory carved in stone. As you walk along its marble streets, worn smooth by thousands of footsteps over centuries, you can almost hear the echoes of a once-thriving world. Grand columns rise toward the sky, elegant facades tell stories of power and beauty, and every corner reveals a new layer of history waiting to be felt rather than simply seen. The Library of Celsus stands like a timeless symbol of knowledge and grace, while the vast theatre whispers of voices that once filled the air with life and emotion. There is a rhythm to Ephesus, a quiet pulse that connects past and present in a way few places ever can. Here, history doesn’t feel distant. It surrounds you, walks beside you, and gently reminds you that some places are too extraordinary to ever fade away.

After exploring the magnificant Ephesus, we will have a late lunch at a very traditional local reastaurant by the Lake Bafa. Situated in the beautiful Lake Bafa National Park, with the spectacular backdrop of Latmos mountain, Bafa is a haven of tranquillity. And if you are lucky, you might witness to one of the biggest mistery on the planet, One may find this hard to believe but the eels in Lake Bafa come from the Gulf of Saragossa in Mexico. Once the eels in Lake Bafa reach a certain maturity they start on their long journey which takes them up to the Menderes River through which they reach the Aegean Sea from where they reach the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic to reach Gulf of Saragossa in Mexico.

A great day doing the tour to house of Mary and Efessos. My expectations were exceeded. The service and attention of Polistar Travel Agengy was in a luxury van, a lot of details inside. Every thing was included in the price, tickets, lunch, coffee brakes etc Special recognition for Muhammed Ali. I will recommend doing this tour o any transportation if you are in Bodrum. Excellent Tour with an Outstanding Guide & Driver

Excellent way to see the House of the Virgin Mary and Ephesus in one day from Bodrum. Our driver, Ali, was fantastic—prompt, professional, friendly, and an excellent driver. The van was spotless, comfortable, and stocked with drinks and snacks, making the journey just as enjoyable as the tour itself. Our guide, İlgü, was outstanding—extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and able to answer all of our questions while making the history easy to understand. A seamless, well-organized tour to two incredible historical sites. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Dear Ms. Ferrie, thank you for your time and for this kind review. It means a lot. We are so flattered to be a part of your positive experience. It was a pleasure to meet you and hope to see you again very soon. Best wishes.

    Perfect tour perfect hospitality

We got picked up from our hotel in Bodrum with a very nice car. Ride was comfortable and the guide was very polite and talkative. We visited House of Mary first which was our main goal. Our group was not really interested in ancient history so we decided spend more time at House of Mary and less time at Ephesus. House of Mary was an amazing experience to be at. Even though there were hundereds of people, still there was a calm, quiet and peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed it a lot. Food was very good, staff was really nice. Overall a very beautiful day it was.

Response from the operator: Dear Ms. Berrak, thank you for your time and for this kind review. It means a lot. We are so flattered to be a part of your positive experience. It was a pleasure to meet you and hope to see you again very soon. Best wishes.

Top notch organisation, top notch guide.

Mr. Serhat was the best guide I've ever met. And I say this as a person who had ben to over a hundered tours around the world. Stories he told about Ephesus history were amazing. Such a rich historical monument. The Greco-Romen art is breathtaking. We enjoyed every minute at Ephesus. Mr. Serhat took us to an amazing restaurant where we loved local food. Home made gözleme was amazing. This was such a great experience with a very comfortable transport, great food, lots of pictures and great memories at very nice locations. Many thanks to Mr. Serhat. I highly recommend this agency.

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bodrum?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bodrum?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
