Matt at Sydney Guided Tours is THE BEST!

We spent two of our best days ever experiencing Sydney with Matt. He's so much more than a tour guide! He took us to great places that are beyond the typical tourist spots, gave us an up-close encounter with wonderful Australian animals and introduced us to the beauty and history of the area. Loved that our tours were customized to the things WE wanted to see and had a lot of great conversation and laughs!

Response from the operator: Cheryl, thank you so much for this wonderful review, it means a lot to me. Spending days exploring Sydney and the Blue Mountains with you both was an absolute pleasure, from meeting some of our local furry characters to showing you the hidden spots most visitors never see. I'm glad the days felt personal and full of laughs, that's exactly how adventures in Sydney should be. Thank you both for trusting me with your time here, and if you ever find yourselves back down under, the bush, the mountains, and a few curious kangaroos will be ready to welcome you back. Cheers mate, Matt Wildlife Whisperer Sydney Guided Tours

an excellent tour of the Blue Mountains National Park

Matt was an exceptional tour guide and I highly recommend his services. He was very knowledgeable about the Blue Mountains and surrounding area and tailored our tour as we went along to best fit what we were looking to see and do. On top of that, he was very entertaining plus he supplied us at the end with some very high-quality digital photos to help remember the day.

Response from the operator: Jonathan, Thank you so much for your kind words! It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you both - you were such a lovely couple, and I truly enjoyed tailoring the experience to make it special for you. I’m so glad you had a great time exploring the Blue Mountains and that the photos will help keep those memories alive. Wishing you both all the best, and I hope our paths cross again in the future! Kind regards, Matt Wildlife Whisperer Sydney Guided Tours

    A fantastic day

Our guide, Matt, was enthusiastic and friendly throughout our trip. Even before the trip started, he messaged us ahead of time to confirm his pickup. During our day together, he made sure all members of our group were having a great time and that all our needs are satisfied. He offered us ample options of where to visit, accompanied us throughout and took amazing photos for us. He would also offer us interesting tidbits about the wildlife, the Indigenous culture, etc., which enriched our experience. All and all, we had a phenomenal time. We would definitely book another tour with Matt if we ever visit Sydney again!

Response from the operator: Brandon! What a magical day it was! It was a real pleasure to journey alongside you and your family. We covered so many wonderful sites, filled with laughter throughout the day. Wishing you all the best for your upcoming voyage to NZ! Warm regards, Matt Sydney Guided Tours

    Spectacular tour - Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountain tour with Matt was spectacular - amazing views from various locations; we learned a lot about wildlife, fauna, etc. And equally great was spending the day with Matt - a kind, knowledgeable, and funny gentleman. An all day tour went by quickly. Definitely a “big day out” tour. Another plus is Matt is a professional photographer and provides pictures post tour. Don’t miss the opportunity to book a tour with the “wildlife whisperer” of Sydney Guided Tours. 🐨

Response from the operator: Dear Meander, Thank you for your incredibly kind words! Spending the day with you both was an absolute pleasure, filled with fun and laughter. I’m looking forward to our big Nature and Wildlife tour tomorrow. See you then! Best wishes, Matt Tour Director and Wildlife Whisperer Sydney Guided Tours

Completely immersed in the Blue Mountains with Matt

My wife and I had an incredible day with Matt and he customized the day perfectly to our needs and also took us places we never would have known about. In fact, an Uber driver the next day mentioned a place in the blue mountains he really enjoyed but that tour guides don’t go there but that in fact WAS one of Matt’s destinations for us. Matt also took some great pictures of us that we couldn’t have taken ourselves. He is very knowledgeable about the plants, animals, history and geography. We felt completely immersed in the landscape and culture throughout the day. Thanks Matt!!!

Response from the operator: What an incredible day! Larry, thank you for your fantastic review. It was a pleasure to share the journey with such a delightful couple. Wishing you both the very best for your upcoming adventures! Warm regards, Matt

Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 10.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Blue Mountains Wildlife and Wonders - Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
