A joy
Scott was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable and a great guy to just chat with. The whole day was awesome, would highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore Sydney

Blue Mountain and being an Australian.
This is the way to go when exploring the Blue Mountains. Sam, our tour guide, was on time and very accommodating to our needs. She brought a wealth of knowledge of not just typically asked during our tour, but answered many other questions about the life of an Australian. There were no less than 5 minutes of silence as during the ride as each family members were engaged in conversation though out the entire day.

Great tour of the Blue Mountains
This is my second time using Scott's company. The first time was in 2020 and we had a different guide. This time we got Scott who owns the company. Scott is an excellent tour guide. Very engaging and knows great places to stop away from the crowds for lunch and hikes. Highly recommend.

Amazing day! Go with Sam!
The tour is amazing! Sam, our guide, is a true legend. She’s very knowledgeable, talkative and interesting person! We loved all the special places in the nature, the lunch spot and the winery. It was a brilliant day and one of your trip highlights.

Perfect day to the Blue Mountains
Our full-day private tour to the Blue Mountains was absolutely exceptional. Scott was friendly, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable from the moment he picked us up. The private transfer was comfortable, and what truly set the experience apart was how personalized it felt. He took the time to get to know us on the drive and thoughtfully customized the entire day based on our interests, personalities, and even the weather—resulting in a perfectly curated itinerary. Even making a pit stop at a local winery which ended up being the absolute highlight of the day. If you’re looking for a truly customized, worthwhile experience exploring the beauty of the Blue Mountains, I highly recommend this private tour.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney cost?
+
Prices start at $1395 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 113 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney?
+
Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Blue Mountains Private Tour from Sydney start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
