Fabulous experience
I had initially not thought that a day trip to the Blue Mountains was feasible as I had previously driven there from the airport and remembered the journey as lengthy and a real pain. However, having someone to drive you there, especially someone as knowledgeable about the area as Glenn, transformed the experience. The trip was really great and highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Hi Stewart. Thank you for your positive review. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted that you enjoyed your Blue Mountains tour.

Fun-filled Day Trip
Kay was fantastic! In addition to being a wealth of knowledge, responsible driver, and part-time comedian, he was a talented photographer who got some amazing shots and videos of us throughout the tour. The wildlife refuge was a blast - saw all the animals and fed the kangaroos and wombats. We were caught in a sudden downpour on one of our hikes, and came across a family with young children who were stranded with no umbrellas. Kay didn’t hesitate to agree that we should help them get back to their hotel, and loaded them into the van along with us. Great restaurant and ice cream recs, too! Such a fun day - request Kay for your trip to the Blue Mountains!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review. Kay is one of our most popular tour guides and we are glad he was able to look after you during your Blue Mountains private tour.

Blue Mountains. New Friends. Priceless.
Laurin and Phuong were gems as guides. They made us comfortable. They were flexible and best of all, they were so easy to get along with. We felt that we were hanging out for the day with old friends. Their services are highly recommended. The visit to Dry Ridge Winery was the highlight of the day. Do not leave that out of the itinerary!
Response from the operator: Thank you Glenford and Vivienne for your lovely review. We are glad that you both enjoyed your day at the Blue Mountains. We felt like we were hanging out with old friends as well. You and Vivienne also made the day enjoyable for us and it was lovely to meet you both. The Dry Ridge Winery was absolutely gorgeous wasn't it. Next time you return to Sydney, Australia, we hope we can show you more of our beautiful country.

Great day in the Blue Mountains
Glen suggested an early start to the day which proved to be very good since we were the first ones to arrive at the Featherdale Wildlife Park where we spent 90 minutes. He was an excellent driver and gave very good commentary on our trip to the Blue Mountains, stopping at spectacular lookouts where often we were the only ones there. Glen also stopped at a "secret place" in Leura for us to have lunch, again avoiding the crowds. If you want a private tour of the Blue Mountains we would highly recommend using Glen's tour service.
Response from the operator: Hi. Thanks for your comments. It was a nice day around the mountains, and yes, I do my best to avoid the crowds as much as possible. Cheers. Glenn.

Great day in the country
We had a great day with Glenn. I loved having the flexibility to modify our plans as the day went by. Glenn is very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions (and as a first time visitor to Australia there were a lot of them).
Response from the operator: Hello. Thanks for you review. I'm glad you enjoyed the day in the Blue Mountains, and it was fun discussing all things Australia with you. Cheers. Glenn

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney cost?
+
Prices start at $1220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Blue Mountains In a Day:Private Day Trip From Sydney start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
