    Great experience

Very reasonably priced experience of going into the sea at night from a boat and producing the blue light from your movements in the water. It was not as lit up as some of the pictures suggest but still very magical. The trip had an informal feel to it and don’t expect luxury but the people were friendly and it was great fun. The complimentary rum punch was a nice touch.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Janet! 😊 We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the magical experience of the Luminous Lagoon and had a great time with our team. The glowing water is truly one of Jamaica’s most unique natural wonders, and we’re glad you were able to experience it firsthand. We also appreciate your honest feedback and are happy you enjoyed the complimentary rum punch and friendly atmosphere. Thank you again for choosing Trav Sun Tours, and we hope to welcome you back to Jamaica for more unforgettable experiences! 🇯🇲✨

    Our driver was Travis...

Our driver was Travis with Trav Sun Tours and he was phenomenal! Called me when he was running late due to an accident on the road. About a 20-minute drive from our resort in Montego Bay. Travis was friendly and talkative along the way. A rum punch was included when we got there, waiting for the sun to set. There were 3 or 4 boats total that took people out in the lagoon and let people in to swim and take pics. It was hard to get phone pics with no flash and the people moving in the water. Video worked pretty well. They had a photographer that would take pics for $30 (plus tip). Travis was our private driver and stopped on the way back to our resort for dinner (we paid for his plus we tipped him). Highly recommend this tour!

Response from the operator: Hello Andrea_T thank you for booking this tour with us it was such a pleasure meeting you and talking you around we definitely had an amazing time.

    So freaking cool!!

I went into this experience knowing that the amount of bioilluminescence that you see can be effected by the weather (I was a little worried since it had rained in Montego bay that afternoon). That being said, I was surprised to see that the water was BRIGHT with activity. Definitely an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Lisa was an excellent driver and guide, and was very knowledgeable about everything. I truly recommend her and this excursion. The rum punch was also excellent! Side note: Be mindful of what's around you when you are swimming (as best as you can). Regardless of what the boat crew will tell you, there are jellyfish in the water. Even though they will deny it, know that they are fully equipped with numbing cream and alcohol and won't hesitate to help out! Besides that little part (really very minor), it was perfect!

Response from the operator: Hello Sara_S thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and tips with this community we really appreciate your feedback regarding our service and looking forward to hosting you and whenever you visit Jamaica again. Thanks for making it Trav sun tours. One love

    A must do in MoBay!

What a cool experience!! You don't glow as much as the pictures may lead you to believe but it was a great adventure for a few hours! Wear a throw away bathing suit or an old one you don't care about staining! It's very swampy water, leaves big dark streaks in lighter colors but worth it!

Response from the operator: Hello Jonnap292, Thank you for choosing our service on your recent trip. Guest satisfaction is our top priority, our team upholds a culture of warm smiles and friendliness; we are therefore thrilled to learn that we made your experience a pleasurable one and that you enjoyed everything We look forward to hosting you again soon and it is always our aim to deliver 100% guest satisfaction. See you soon.

Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up cost?

    +

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bioluminescence Lagoon Tour from Montego Bay with Pick Up start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
