Filippo was fantastic and made us feel like family.

We had a great ride with Filippo, our guide through Altamura. He taught us about the significance of the dry stone walls (muretti a secco), the geology and formation of the region’s largest sinkhole (Il Pulo), and so much more. During our e-bike ride, we stopped along the way to learn about blooming flora, local agriculture, native vegetation, rock formations, and birdlife—and even spotted a wild boar.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your company and for the beautiful title of this review. It was a pleasure for me to ride with you as well. Enjoy the rest of your trip in Italy, and the sunshine and scents of spring

Beautiful walk at the Pulo d'Altamurgia

Great experience! We spent a morning in E-bike to the Pulo d'Altarmurgia, and everything was perfect. The scenery was beautiful and our guide Filippo explained the geology, fauna and flora of the area was exciting. All with a lot of kindness and humor from Filippo!

Response from the operator: Thank you guys! Sweet words from sweet people!

    tremendous biking in Puglia

It was an unforgettable week . At first I was a bit scared of it although I am a cyclist. But the guides are SUPER. You can call on the broom truck if necessary. We had a really good dinner, honestly, I've never eaten so good in Italy than that week. Very nice restaurants, not touristy! Not even in Matera!. Matera was the highlight for me. Getting there by bike is WAUWW. As well as the ALTAMURA National Park, the showpiece of Marienella, is so incredibly beautiful. She is a competent Guide who knows a lot about nature and a perfect companion and repairs bicycles on site. And of course strong Fillipo that you can count on if there is a problem and helps carry valise "Buzz lightyear to the rescue" ! a heartfelt thank you to both <3

Transmurgiana between the sea, trulli, castles and much more

My partner and I chose the La Transmurgiana self-guided tour and, despite some technical unexpected events (three punctures and a blackout of an e-bike), thanks to Filippo's prompt and capable assistance we resolved the problems in a short time. The landscapes of the coast south of Polignano and the solitary ones of the Alta Murgia Park, the cities and towns rich in architectural and historical (even prehistoric) jewels filled our eyes. We return enriched with so much history and culture, as well as the kindness of the Apulian people and their excellent food. An interesting and varied route, with little traffic, to be recommended on e-bikes even to over sixty year olds like us with a fair amount of athletic training.

Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bari.

How much does Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura) cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bari usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura) take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bari is not rushed.

Is Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bari, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura)?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bari can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bari and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bike Tour in the Alta Murgia National Park (Pulo of Altamura) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bari within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bari?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bari experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bari’s Ultimate Street Food Tour - Small Group by Do Eat Better, Boat Tour of the Polignano a Mare Coast with Aperitif, Bari Vecchia Group Tour in Italian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bari?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bari?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
