Waste of time

A waste of money, entrance very expensive and aboslutely not worth it. There are so many more beautiful places to see in Sintra

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your visit did not meet your expectations. Every visitor experiences Sintra differently, and we understand that Biester may not resonate with everyone in the same way. Our aim is to offer a quieter and more intimate experience, where the palace, its historic gardens and the surrounding landscape can be explored at a slower pace. We appreciate your honest opinion and will continue working to ensure our visitors feel the value of the experience we strive to provide. Thank you once again for your comments, and we wish you many wonderful memories of your time in Sintra.

Alternative Sintra

I highly recommend a guided visit to Biester Palace. Our guide, Valeria, was impeccable in the way she engaged us in the history of the palace, making the experience even more enriching. The surrounding gardens are ideal for enjoying moments of calm, and the viewpoint offers truly spectacular views. It is also worth taking a break at the tea house and enjoy to play with the pet, the friendly kittens Biester. Although the palace is right next to the Quinta da Regaleira, there is a rare tranquility here. It is undoubtedly the perfect place for those looking for a more authentic and less massive experience in Sintra. The guided tour makes all the difference, as it allows you to understand and contextualize the countless details of this wonderful palace. Gonçalo Alves

Response from the operator: Caro Gonçalo, Muito obrigado pela sua excelente avaliação e pelas palavras tão generosas.

Beautiful

This first stop, on the way to Palacio de Pena, definitely dismount. Beautifully restored villa and garden. In garden a 360° view over the valley. Really worth it.

Response from the operator: Dear 54erwing, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit and appreciated the careful restoration of both the palace and its historic gardens. It is especially rewarding to know that the panoramic views from the gardens made such a positive impression. Thank you for recommending Biester as a stop on the way to Pena Palace. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back on your next visit to Sintra.

Agridulce

This notice is for those who go to check entry before paying. We entered me and my daughter and at the entrance there was a girl with glasses, as soon as we arrived she took out the tickets and told me that as it would pay I told her that by card and once paid to check the entrance I realized that my daughter had told her as an adult, I told her that this was a mistake, she told me that I should have told her and I told her that see if it could not be cancelled and take out the tickets again, plus before generating them I should have asked, since she is responsible for the entrance . Well, in the end we left it there but without a bittersweet and helpless taste, since you are on vacation and you do not want to bitter them. So you don’t want to visit anymore.

Biester Palace in Sintra

Amazing experience. The palace was a surprise and reveals fantastic restoration details. The house is integrated into a garden/forest very well cared for, with specimens of flora from different parts of the world. I recommend visiting and enjoying the architectural and natural heritage. Excellent!

Response from the operator: Muito obrigado pela visita e pelo excelente comentário!

Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sintra.

How much does Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra cost?

+

Prices start at $12 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sintra usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra take?

+

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sintra is not rushed.

Is Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Sintra, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sintra can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sintra and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Biester Palace and Park Entry Ticket in Sintra start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sintra within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sintra?

+

On Outty we rank every Sintra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Tour Sintra from Lisbon Palaces of Pena and Regaleira, Private Sintra Tour Palaces and Coast by Vintage Car or Jeep, Sintra Historical Jeep Adventure - Palaces & Secret Routes. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sintra?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sintra?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
