    Great day!

I had an absolutely wonderful day with the guide Simon, and a driver. We saw lots of birds, most of which were new to me. Even though Simon is quite new to being a bird guide he knew so much, and was really good at spotting birds, and he was also willing to say when he was unsure about a bird. It was a long day, but I saw so many parts of the city and the surroundings I wouldn't otherwise have seen, and I would highly recommend this trip! We didn't stop for breakfast and coffee until almost four hours after we left, so if that's a problem for you I recommend bringing your own coffee and snack. But the early morning birds made it totally worth it for me!

Response from the operator: Thanks for your give us a great reviews and recommend this trip to the travelers who come to visit Cambodia or Phnom Penh. We do believe, this is a great part to help us to get more experience, knowledge and more benefits to the locals Thanks again and have a great day

A fabulous experience with Mr Thong!

Beautiful experience with Mr Thong who is an outstanding organizer with a very nice knowledge of the terrain and birds (singing and visual identification). He is at the small care with fresh water and snacks and the 2 typical meals shared with him. He is very friendly and you feel immediately in excellent company. The vehicle was also comfortable. The end of the day was very pleasant with the passage through a small market with food vendors and the visit to the Oudong temple which is really worth it (even if not visited by foreign tourists). Recommend warmly!!

    Amazing and Insightful

This was, by far, one of the best tours that we took in SE Asia. Our guide was very knowledgeable and he shared not only his bird knowledge but also the changing landscape and its affect on the Cambodian people. I learnt so much. We did the full day tour, including the old capital.

Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phnom Penh.

How much does Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh cost?

    +

Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phnom Penh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh take?

    +

Is Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phnom Penh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh?

    +

Is Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phnom Penh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phnom Penh and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Beyond The Oudong Temple and Birdwatching in Phnom Penh start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phnom Penh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phnom Penh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Phnom Penh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Tuol Sleng S21 and Choeung Ek Killing Field Tour, The Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) Tour, Killing field and Toul Sleng genocide museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phnom Penh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phnom Penh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
