Great value! I definitely...
Great value! I definitely saw more of Tokyo and Yokohama than I would have on my own. The tour is personalized, but Ishida has plenty of suggestions for you to pick from to plan your day.
Response from the operator: Thank you Thomas! I hope you enjoy the cruise around Japan.

Exceptional experience
Ishida Katsuya provided an exceptional experience in Tokyo. His pre-tour questionnaire helped to tailor our itinerary based on our preferences. Additionally, he asked our preferences for sightseeing and transportation around the city. We traveled by commuter trains, subways and taxis getting around Tokyo quickly and efficiently. Ishida’s expertise saved us time; avoided our getting lost or confused while using Tokyo’s vast public transportation system. He met us at the Tokyo Cruise Ship Terminal at the appointed time. Our itinerary consisted of a visit to the observation deck of Tokyo Tower, a ramen lunch at the Tower’s food court, Shibuya Crossing, a walk down The Ginza and through the East Garden of the Imperial Palace. During our tour, Ishida provided commentary about the sites we visited, giving us historical, cultural and contemporary Japanese perspectives. He took care of our expenses during the day, buying train & subway tickets, ordering lunch and paying for taxis & entrances to all sites. Naturally, we reimbursed him at the end of the day. He conveniently accepted a credit card and charged us a minimum fee for using it. I highly recommend Ishida Katsuya’s services as a tour guide through Tokyo.
Response from the operator: Mary Ellen, Dan, and Kate, I am so relieved to hear that you have returned safely to the US. Thank you very much for joining my tour. Although it kept raining longer than forecasted that day and we had to alter some of our plans, everything went smoothly thanks to your flexibility and kind understanding of my suggestions each time. To be honest, there are still so many more places I would love to show you. I would be absolutely delighted if you could come back to Tokyo someday.

Would do it all over again
We left the ship in Yokohama in the pouring rain, grabbed a taxi and headed to the train station. ISHIDA, our guide in Yokohalma and Tokyo was there waiting for us. From there, we boarded the subway and made our way to Tokyo. He communicated with us continuously and even gave me the message in Japanese to give to the taxi driver. If you want someone that gives 150 percent to make sure that you have an amazing experience, this is your guy.
Response from the operator: David, Julie, Robert, and Barbara, thank you so much for the awesome review! Even though we had heavy rain in the morning, you were all so helpful and showed such great interest in everything, which made the tour truly enjoyable for me. I also really appreciated you teaching me those fun Southern expressions. Now I am fixing to finish this writing, and have some coke, which is actually sprite!

Best tour ever.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with Ishida . He picked us up at our hotel and proceeded to give us his knowledge and experience of the city of Tokyo. The day was a great pleasure for us both . We would highly recommend a day spent with this gentleman. A true treasure.
Response from the operator: Bill and Nora, thank you so much for the lovely review. I am truly happy to hear that you enjoyed exploring Tokyo with me. I especially won't forget how excited Nora was when we visited the Shibuya Crossing. It would be a great honor to guide you again whenever you return to Japan.

Overall super!
Ishida was the most professional, efficient, caring, accommodating and knowledgable tour guide for our day trip around Tokyo. We had the best time and highly recommend him for a private tour.
Response from the operator: Annette, Tom, and Margaret, thank you for the tour with me. Your word is more than I expected. Next, I hope you have a good time in Nagasaki!

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yokohama.
How much does Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels cost?
+
Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yokohama usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yokohama is not rushed.
Is Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yokohama, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yokohama can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yokohama and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best of Tokyo Private Tour from Yokohama & Tokyo Ports or Hotels start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yokohama within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Yokohama?
+
On Outty we rank every Yokohama experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo in 1 Day from Yokohama: Private Tour, Licensed Guide, Yokohama Ramen Adventure near Tokyo: From Factory to Home Cooking, 【Tokyo】JDM Daikoku PA & Nissan Facility Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Yokohama?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Yokohama?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
