Absolutely sensational Bruce was incredible so full of information. Worth every cent spent.

Absolutely sensational Bruce was incredible so full of information , so helpful, generous with his time and considerate of the group. A wealth of information was shared across the tour. The only other feedback is start location on the map doesn't map the actual meet point. Be more specific in description ie meet on top of stairs at 52 Chambers.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the Brooklyn tour and for your enthusiastic review. It was truly wonderful having you on the tour. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. There is so much incredible history and scenic views in Brooklyn. I will let TripAdvisor know about the stairs. I hope to see you again. Bruce

Great way to learn NYC history and sights

Bruce is a very knowledgeable, experienced guide to the history of New York City, and he fills his tours with lots of interesting facts and sights. This is the second tour I've done with him, and I will book another one on my next trip! We walked for about three hours and his fee is very reasonable.

Response from the operator: Many, many thanks for taking a second tour. Yes, as you discovered, Brooklyn has so much incredible history—and beautiful vistas of the surrounding areas. I look forward to seeing you again for another tour soon. Bruce

Fantastic Tour! Highly recommend!

Absolutely LOVED the Brooklyn Bridge/Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo tour with Bruce! I learned so much on this tour! Bruce held our attention through great story telling and sharing so many fun facts! I loved that he had a binder of pictures to show us some of what he was talking about! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking a tour with Bruce! I can’t wait to come back to NYC and do another one with him!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review and recommendation of the Brooklyn tour. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the experience. I really enjoyed sharing the incredible history and beautiful vistas with you. I look forward to seeing you again on another tour! Thanks again, Bruce

Brooklyn n was a different view!

This was our third tour with Bruce. He is a delightful, knowledgable and enthusiastic guide. If you’re interested in history of Brooklyn, or just interested in the area, this is a great tour to take! The scenes of the Manhattan skyline are fantastic as is the history of the Brooklyn Bridge, which you experience as you walk over it! I highly recommend this tour and any or all of the tours Bruce offers.

Never thought of Brooklyn this way.

This is our 3rd tour with Bruce and it’s always such an enriching experience. Bruce is incredibly knowledgeable about these topics. It’s always fascinating to see things through his eyes and experience because you can feel his passion. He’s not just walking you to a location, but transporting you! The Brooklyn Bridge is a structure we have walked on more times than we can count, but it was just amazing to hear the story of its construction and we will never see that bridge the same way again. We have so much more respect for it now. This was just a small example of how eventful touring with Bruce is. We look forward to booking tours with him every chance we’re in NY because he’s simply the best!!

Response from the operator: I can't thank you enough for taking the three tours and for walking through Brooklyn, including the great Bridge, with me on the most recent. I appreciate your kind words. My enthusiasm reflects the people with whom I get to share the history. So, thank YOU for the inspiration. I hope to see you again on your next trip to the city. Thanks again, Bruce

Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New York.

How much does Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights cost?

+

Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New York usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New York is not rushed.

Is Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New York, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights?

+

Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New York can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New York and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Best of Brooklyn Walking Tour: Historic Bridge, DUMBO & Heights start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New York within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New York?

+

New York has more bookable experiences than any other city on Outty, and the quality spread is brutal. Observation decks are commoditised, so we score them on timed-entry reliability and sunset slots. Food tours and borough walks are where the ranking really separates operators, and the top scores in the city all come from small-group guides. On Outty we rank every New York experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Canyon VIP Helicopter Tour, Half-Day Bus Tour of NYC Top Highlights, NYC Bus Tour of Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens: Art, Food & Sports. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New York?

+

September to early November, and late April through June. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New York?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
