    Great tour

Incredible experience. Our guide, Maria, was so knowledgeable and filled with fantastic information about the Acropolis , Parthenon and Greek Mythology. Well Done - Informative - Expensive

The quality of the guide was excellent. The timing and approach worked well for a family of 8 including two children (8 and 10). The system for meeting the tour guides is terrible. Come stand near a metro station and ask every person with a badge around their neck whether they are your tour guide (they weren't). No signs, no organization. Ended up working with too much effort. Cost is high. The tour on the bus after lunch was not impressive... just two stops neither of which was there any 'tour' information. Tickets are adde on after you pay for the tour. In excess of $1,600 for the family. All in all thought it was well done..

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to review your experience, Charles. We are thrilled to hear that the quality of your guide was excellent and that the tour's timing worked so well for your family. We really appreciate all of your feedback, and we are so glad that, all in all, you found the experience well done. Thank you for choosing Greeking.me!

    Wonderful!

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Acropolis with our guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history of the site to life with fascinating stories and insights. What made the tour especially memorable was the attention and kindness she showed to our 6-year-old daughter. She made a genuine effort to include her throughout the tour, keeping her interested and entertained. Our daughter absolutely loved her and genuinely enjoyed spending time with her, which made the experience so much more enjoyable for our whole family. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for an informative, enjoyable, and family-friendly tour.

Response from the operator: What a beautiful review, Inna! The Acropolis has a way of leaving a lasting impression, and knowing your daughter walked away with such a love for it makes this extra special for us. An engaged and happy 6-year-old at an ancient monument? That's a win we're very proud of! We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Anna made our Athens tour an incredible experience. She was knowledgeable, funny, energetic, and did an amazing job bringing the history of Athens to life for our family. We especially appreciated the extra effort she made helping us visit Krinos and sharing its pharmacy history, which was very meaningful to us as pharmacists. Highly recommend both Anna and Greeking.me for anyone wanting a fun and personalized tour experience in Greece.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback, Randy! We are thrilled that our team could bring Athens' rich history to life for your family. It's fantastic to hear that the special stop at Krinos and its pharmacy history resonated so deeply with your professional background. Creating these personalized, meaningful moments is exactly what we love to do. We hope to see you all again soon!

    A wonderful visit

We had a perfect day with our guide Danae and our driver in the afternoon Kostas. Danae guided us up to the Acropolis in the morning and explained us everything with her profound archeological and history knowledge. We skipped (from the beginning) the Akropolis Museum (did it next day on our own) and visited Plaka by foot. A good lunch in a nice restaurant chosen by Danae was followed by the City Tour with a lot to see and excellent explanations.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review, Gabriele. It truly made our day! We are thrilled that our guide's deep knowledge of archaeology and history brought the Acropolis to life for you, and that the flexible approach to your itinerary worked out so well. It means the world to us to know that every part of the day left you with such great memories of Athens. We truly hope to see you again soon on another adventure!

Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $113 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Best of Athens in One Day: Acropolis, Acropolis Museum & City Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
