This is an awesome idea!
I originally thought of doing this on my own, and not going with a guide, but I am so glad I changed my mind and worked with Ayoub. Ayoub is a professional pyramids guide who runs a flawless tour. Comfortable and safe air-conditioned vehicle. Well educated on the topics at hand, and able to talk about current events, as well as the history of Egypt and the pyramids. This is exactly what you want in a guide. He was a pleasure to spend my day with. He gave me equal time for myself to rest and appreciate what I was seeing; but at the same time, having the right instincts to give me a heads up when it was important. The pace of the tour itself was ideal. It was late June, so the heat is a concern… but Ayoub communicated the day before that we would get started at 8 o’clock and he was right on time. Good move. We hit Giza first then Saqqara. He took the time to make sure I had enough water, time to rest, and gave me the option of extending the tour into individual choices, such as going underground into an actual pyramid. No sales pressure whatsoever, in fact, he warns you when you are going to encounter various sales pitches at the pyramids grounds. Which I thought was very useful because it allows you to pay more attention to the service you’re getting to tip people appropriately. He also thoughtfully arranged for me to see various local attractions, such as perfume shops, clothing stores, and a Papyrus maker. At one point, I decided to change it up and asked to see a Cartouche vendor because I needed to buy a Cartouche for a friend. He brought me to a very credible and high-quality vendor. That alone made my day because I didn’t have to worry about trying to find the right place. Ayoub is helpful and flexible in his plans, feel free to make adaptations. I thoroughly enjoyed this day and I’m so glad that I chose to go with a guide. Thank you TripAdvisor and thank you Ayoub. Strongly recommend this tour with him.

Don’t miss this tour with Gouda!
We were picked up at our hotel in the morning and spent an incredible day with our guide, Gouda and driver, Ibrahim. We toured all of the sites in chronological order and everything was explained so well. We are a family of 7 with kids aged 9-17 and he captivated the attention of all of us. Gouda’s depth of knowledge was really impressive and he shared so many pieces of history with us. I also loved hearing about the engineering feats of the sites as well. Gouda also brought us for a wonderful lunch and made sure to get the best photos. Our camel ride by the Great Pyramid was incredible. Ibrahim was a wonderful driver and we appreciated talking with him as well. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone as our family loved every minute.

Great day tour of the Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara with great guide and driver
Wonderful tour of the Pyramids with fantastic guide. We had Mimo as our guide and Hossam as our driver. Both were amazing. Mimo was so enthusiastic about the places we visited and went above and beyond to make sure we got to see what we wanted and got great photos. He was happy to tailor aspects of the tour to suit us, which added to a great experience. A special thanks to Hossam who handled the chaos and mayhem of the Giza traffic so well and got us around safe and sound. This wasn't a 'hard sell' tour and we weren't forced to go to shops and places we had no interest in, we set the itinerary and with Mimo it was an enjoyable way to see the Great Pyramids, Memphis and Saqqara

Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.
How much does Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.
Is Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best Giza Saqqara and Memphis Guided Day Tour from Cairo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Giza?
+
On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Giza?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Giza?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
