Above and beyond service
Eduardo and his team member (don Juan ), I believe, were awesome to tour the volcanoes and Mayan sites. Eduardo was funny, knowledgeable and entertaining. Everything was smooth and on time. The lunch spot that was chosen for my husband to eat at, had such a beautiful view (Casa 1800). I highly recommend Salvadorean Tours with Eduardo. The service that was provided was above and beyond.

More Than Just the Views
First off, I have to mention our tour guide, Eduardo. He is very passionate about El Salvador and extremely knowledgeable about the history of his country and the Americas. He also shares his own opinions and perspectives about El Salvador, its government, and the Americas. You may or may not agree with everything he says, but come with an open mind and enjoy the conversation. For me, his passion and knowledge of history made the experience that much more interesting. As for the tour itself, you really get a little bit of everything. You get beautiful views of the volcanoes and Lake Coatepeque, spend time at Cerro Verde, and also get to experience the Mayan history of El Salvador at the archaeological sites. A lot of people travel looking for that perfect Instagram picture, and trust me, you’ll have plenty of opportunities for those here. But this tour gives you much more than just good pictures. You get multiple stops, beautiful scenery, Mayan history, and a chance to learn more about El Salvador throughout the day. If you’re looking for an experience that’s worth your money and allows you to see several different sides of El Salvador in one day, this is it. I really enjoyed my time on the tour with Eduardo. I would definitely do this tour again, especially if I came back with someone who hadn’t experienced El Salvador before.

Eduardo will be so happy to read your words! His deep passion for history and engaging conversations truly make each tour special, and we will proudly pass your compliments along to him. Thank you for choosing us, and we would be honored to welcome you back anytime! Never stop traveling! Safe travel from the Salvadorean Tours Family

Fantastic experience for a 1st time trip in El Salvador!
This was a compact and informative trip to visit the many breathtaking sights of El Salvador in one special day. I was picked up directly from my hotel by the driver Noe. We spent the day discovering the lush jungle and mountain landscape of this magical country. Light walking on mostly flat trails with insightful detailed cultural and historical facts by the bilingual Spanish and English guide Stanley. We stopped for lunch at a lakeside restaurant with a spectacular lake view. Communication with the tour company was excellent and they made sure I had the meet up location and confirmation details the day before and the day of. Highly recommended and an easy 5 stars.

We are thrilled to hear that our Full Day Combo Tour gave you such a great introduction to our country's landscapes, history, and culture. Good non strenuous way to see volcanoes
Good non strenuous way to site may landscape sites in San salvadore area. Still Expect 4 hours of driving due to traffic but a good amount of time spent at Mayan sites with great historical detail provided by our guide Adonis who was a great guide. Good views of volcanos, although they are distant views so be prepared (we knew this but some don’t realise).

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed this accessible, non-strenuous way to take in El Salvador’s landscapes—from the rich Mayan archaeology to the panoramic volcano views. Thank you as well for pointing out the driving times; navigating local traffic safely while keeping our guests comfortable is always a top priority for us. Adonis will be thrilled to know that his detailed historical context and guiding made such a great impression. We will gladly pass your compliments along to him! Why this scores 88
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Salvador.
How much does Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Salvador usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Salvador is not rushed.
Is Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 335 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in San Salvador, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites?
+
Around 117 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Salvador can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Salvador and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best Full Day Combo Tour: Volcanoes, Lake and Mayan Sites start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Salvador within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Salvador?
+
On Outty we rank every San Salvador experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Fun Walking Tour of San Salvador's Historic Center, Santa Ana Volcano Early Morning Hike, San Salvador Tour: Devil’s Door, Volcano, Slide & Historic Center. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Salvador?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Salvador?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
