What to Expect: Your experience begins with a warm welcome, just as any Albanian guest would receive a glass of homemade raki, a cup of traditional Turkish style coffee sweetened to your taste all served with a smile. Then, it’s time to put on your apron! Under the guidance of your host, you’ll prepare a full homemade meal using traditional recipes from the Berat region. Everything is made by you, from scratch, with local and seasonal ingredients.

Totally amazing fresh food. Such an enganging family. full of love and their genuine interest in making your experience the best. That they grown almost all ingredience in their home garden is spectalur. I was given a tour in the garden and the varity of fruits and vegetables was breathtaking. I can nothing but highly recommend this event. Next time I come to Berat, this will be a certain activity for me, for tasty food (made by me 😀) and the lovely family.

A genuine family experience, not just a commercial cooking class.
We had such a wonderful and genuinely memorable experience at this Albanian cooking class! 🇦🇱❤️ The class takes place in an actual Albanian family home, which makes the whole experience feel so authentic and personal. We were warmly welcomed by the family with two types of ouzo 🥃 and coffee ☕️, and from the very beginning, we felt completely at home. Over the 4 hours, we prepared three delicious traditional Albanian dishes 👩🍳🍽️ — and honestly, the time flew by! What made it even more special was how intimate and genuine the experience was. We ended up sitting around the same table, eating together and having wonderful conversations with the whole family. ❤️ You can truly feel that this is a genuine family experience, not just a commercial cooking class. And for everything included, it was absolutely worth the money! They don’t just offer cooking classes either — check out their website to see the other experiences they offer! There is so much more to discover. 🇦🇱✨ Big thank you to the whole family for such a warm welcome and for giving us this truly memorable experience. Great cooking class and dinner!
5 million stars for this authentic and delicious cooking class! We were driven to the family’s beautiful home and gardens with fruit trees and fresh produce all over their property. We had a warm welcome with refreshments and then hands on cooking class leaning to make multiple dishes! I was impressed with how many layers of dough we made for the Byrek pie! We had delicious local wine during the class and at dinner which was enjoyed outside in the garden. Our stuffed eggplants came out delicious if I do say so myself and the meatballs were very good too! We also had a garden salad that was very refreshing! And our Byrek came out great!! It was such a nice evening with good food, wine, and company! It was just my husband and I, and we had a great time getting to know the sweet family and talking about Albania. I highly recommend this to everyone visiting!

Much more than just a cooking class!
A must-do experience in Berat! This was one of the highlights of our time in Albania. The cooking class was so much more than just learning how to make traditional dishes — we were welcomed into their home, met their wonderful family, and got to learn about Albanian culture, history, and traditions in such a genuine way. The food was delicious, but what made this experience truly special was the warmth and hospitality. We felt like we were spending time with friends rather than just attending a cooking class. It was such a beautiful way to connect with local life and understand more about Albania’s traditions. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Berat — it’s something we will remember for a long time.

Brilliant experience for families
The experience was exceptional, from the moment we were picked up in the centre of town until we left Edison's family home about four hours later. Edison's wife and grandmother helped to demonstrate the traditional cooking techniques and then we would try and follow suit. Predictably my two teenage kids were much better than me. I blame the Raki and delicious red wine which were liberally dispensed throughout the evening. The piece de la resistance was eating the fruits of our labour at the end of the evening while pleasantly pickled. It's an unmissable 10 out of 10 experience.
