Fantastic walking tour with the Marti Way

A first visit to Belfast with my partner I was fortunate to find myself on an in depth walking tour with the Marti Way. What an experience. A font of historical knowledge, Marti tailored our tour to give a true sense of Belfast, past, present and future. Keeping his tour party small it felt like a stroll around the city with a mate. Marti delivered it in an honest but ultimately positive manner. Thanks again Marti and I’m sure our paths will cross again on our next visit.

A new friend.

What can I say about this lovely man. His knowledge of his city is second to none. This is not your average tour , so much more and personalised to what you want to do . We spent 4 hours with marti, and felt like we were with a friend. We shared beer and chat along the way and learned and saw so much of this beautiful city that marti is filled with hope for . Would definitely recommend. Thanks marti. See you next time.

Excellent tour tailored to our interests. I recommend for all!

Yet another great experience. This is the second time that I took the tour with Marti. Last time was with my family and this time was to introduce a friend to the city. Marti tailored the trip, going out of his way to focus on areas important to us. As a Belfast native, living abroad for my adult life, I am delighted to see the progression of my home city. I am sure this is not the last time that I will be on the Marti Way! I recommend for all.

The Marti Way

***An Unforgettable way to understand Belfast*** The Belfastology Eclectic Walking Tour was hands-down one of the highlights of my time in Belfast. It's not just a walking tour - it's storytelling, history, humour and local insight all woven together brilliantly. Marti our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and refreshingly honest, bringing Belfast's complex past and vibrant present to life with warmth and wit. We covered politics, culture, music, and street art. The tour helped us understand the history, fascinating local anecdotes you'd never find in a guidebook. We had many laugh-out-loud moments. Marti always ensured everyone was enjoying themselves and answered questions. The tour felt authentic, respectful, and he was deeply rooted in the city. If you want to actually understand Belfast - not just see it - this tour is an absolute must. I'd recommend it to anyone, whether it's your first visit or you think you already know the city. Thank you Marti we thoroughly enjoyed your tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you, 😊 I do my best to help visitors on my walking tours / experiences understand Belfast, a little bit more than you might have discovered from any other source. And of course help you all enjoy what is a fascinating wee city. I thank you for you recommending me. And hope one day you'll all return so I can take you a wee bit further along #themARTiway 😉

Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Belfast.

How much does Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way cost?

+

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Belfast usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Belfast is not rushed.

Is Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 352 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Belfast, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way?

+

Around 123 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Belfast can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Belfast and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Belfast Eclectic walking Experience along the Marti Way start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Belfast within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Belfast?

+

On Outty we rank every Belfast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include A History of Terror - Belfast City Centre Walking Tour, Belfast Troubles Tour: Walls and Bridges, Giants Causeway and Castles from Belfast: Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Belfast?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Belfast?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
