    It was the best decision.

It is ideal for seeing the most important things because the place is immense and it is very easy to get lost or lose control of the tour. The guide is excellent.

Response from the operator: Dear Oswaldo_M, We really appreciate your sincere comment! It was our honor to arrange entrance tickets to Liyuan Peking Opera for you. As the venue is quite spacious, a guide will help you catch all the highlights and prevent you from wandering around aimlessly. Delighted that you loved your outstanding guide and the whole experience! Best Regards

Buy your tickets at the counter, not here

The opera itself is nice and a good look into chinese culture, but there is no need to buy the ticket here. Just buy it on the spot the day of the representation (even only 30min before), there will be room for you in the theatre and you will pay it much cheaper.

Traditional activity with very poor service.

The snacks provided are ridiculous. I had to complain twice to get the tea. I expected more from the opera.

Response from the operator: Dear Marcelo_S, Thank you for your feedback and for bringing your concerns to our attention. We sincerely apologize that your visit to the Liyuan Theatre did not fully meet your expectations. We have shared your comments regarding the tea service with the theatre's management. As refreshments are handled directly by the venue, we regret that this aspect fell short, though we have urged them to take your feedback into account for future improvements. That said, we are glad to hear that our booking process was smooth and hassle-free for you. We truly hope that the Peking Opera performance itself offered a memorable and authentic cultural experience. We wish you a wonderful and continued enjoyment of your time in Beijing

Not to be missed in Beijing

Perfect: both the show and the organization! Thank you all for their kindness and courtesy. Despite our slight delay, a person was waiting for us at Welcoming with our tickets and a big smile. The show is enchanting. We recommend booking tickets with snack.

Response from the operator: Dear Françoise, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your evening at the Liyuan Peking Opera was a "parfait" experience. As your booking agent, it was our pleasure to handle the arrangements for you. We are especially glad that our local team could provide a smooth welcome for you upon your arrival. We will definitely share your compliments regarding the enchanting performance and the excellent on-site service with the theater team, as they will be delighted to know they contributed to your memorable night. We also appreciate your recommendation for booking tickets with the collation. It was our pleasure to facilitate your entire experience. We look forward to helping you discover more unique cultural events in the future! Warm regards,

Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Beijing Liyuan Theater Peking Opera Ticket Booking start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
