Excellent professional tour
Our guide Bill was very knowledgeable about Beijing, The Great Wall and China generally. The pick-ups were prompt, with clear explanations of what to expect, flexibility in plans based on our group’s needs, and a friendly professional nature. We’d certainly recommend this tour.

Impeccable two days in Beijing, China
An Exceptional Experience – Impeccable from Beginning to End My husband and I spent three days exploring Beijing with Catherine Lu Tours, with our wonderful guide Cindy and our excellent driver, and the entire experience was truly exceptional. Cindy is an outstanding guide. Her knowledge of Chinese history is remarkable. Whether we were visiting the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven or the Forbidden City, she was able to explain not only what we were seeing, but the history behind it – when and why things were built, rebuilt or restored, the different dynasties and historical periods, military attacks and conflicts, and the wider context that makes these extraordinary places come alive. She is extremely well-read and knowledgeable, yet she shares all this information in such a natural, engaging and very sympathetic way. Nothing ever feels like a rehearsed lecture. Her English is impeccable, and communicating with her is effortless. What impressed us just as much was the level of personal care and flexibility. On our first day I became completely overwhelmed and needed to return to the hotel unexpectedly. Cindy handled the situation beautifully and without any fuss whatsoever. Within a very short time, she had organised another driver to take me safely back to the hotel while my husband could continue the programme. That kind of calm, thoughtful and highly professional response says a great deal about the quality of the service. Our driver was equally excellent. His driving was superb, we felt completely safe and comfortable at all times, and the car was always there exactly when we needed it. From early morning until late in the day, the service was seamless – you simply step into the car and everything has already been taken care of. The restaurant choices were excellent as well. We had wonderful authentic Chinese food in a beautiful, modern setting – exactly the kind of experience we had hoped for. After three full days together, what stands out most is the extraordinary combination of knowledge, professionalism, flexibility and genuine warmth. We felt extremely well looked after at every moment. Cindy and our driver did a truly outstanding job. Impeccable service from beginning to end. We could not recommend them, and Catherine Lu Tours, more highly.

Catherine Lu Tour Day Trips in China
We did three day trips with Catherine Lu Tours in May 2026. A day in Beijing with Sonia; a day trip to Datong with Jack & day trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge & White Terraces with Grace. Fabulous day trips with great Guides & drivers. Pickups and drop offs well organised. Value for money. We had a great time and would certainly use Catherine Lu Tours again next time we head back to China.

Highly Recommend Catherine Lu Tours!
I am a single female tourist that had two days in Beijing. This tour was perfect! My guide, Angel, was attentive to my needs and taught me so much about the history of the sites we saw. Angel was kind and friendly and very helpful too!! Mr. Zhou, the driver, was prompt and the ride was so smooth. I would have been overwhelmed without this private tour! Highly recommend!!

Why this scores 95
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 95 out of 100, which we label "Peak Performance". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 516 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour?
+
Around 181 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver, Temple of Heaven Ticket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
