GREAT WALL & KUNG FU SHOW

Hi all, where do I start! Cathy was waiting for us at the airport as planned, flight was delayed, she held on. Spotted us straight away! Due to timings of the Great Wall Sky Lift up & Tabogganing down. Cathy explained it was very tight for us to make the opening times etc. We insisted, even though a back up plan was suggested to see other sights. Cathy and her driver made it happen. Speedy driving, while we napped in the car, they got us there, VIP drive up to the sky lift, unheard of, May I add! Normally the public have to walk up but with a phone call Cathy sorted it out! There is a Subway at the wall, if your wondering re:food options. We got to do everything we anticipated, had our Kodak moment. Kids loved it! Cathy is great with children. Her facts, stories and jokes kept us pleasantly entertained. Again, running out of time, Cathy's driver got us to the Kung Fu Show in down town, Beijing just in time! Show was fab, kids enjoyed. We were provided with water bottles per person at pick up along with Cathy's perky happy personality and kind words. Also, fresh bananas on our way back to the airport. Oh, as we are a family of 5, Cathy rode with one of my children on both the sky lift and Tobbogan down the Great Wall with great enthusiasm. Overall can't complain. We had a GREAT time visiting Beijing, GREAT Wall & Kung Fu show under a very tight time frame and what could have been a stressful day. Hope this helps others, our children were 7, 7 & 8. Finally, Thank you Cathy, looking forward to seeing you again on our next stop over in Beijing!

    +

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
