Highly recommend Kanpai Tours!

Olivier put together an incredible, customised tour of Beaujolais for us. We visited a total of three wineries of which he recomended two and then sorted us out with a third we asked him to take us to. Also enjoyed scenic views along the way. Olivier is very knowledgeable and shared stories about the history of the different Beaujolais villages and the area. I highly recommend his services to anyone visiting the area. I will absolutely reach out to him again on my next trip to Lyon!

Response from the operator: Merci George ... Perouges, Oingt and the Beaujolais wine are worth the visit !!! I am ready to guide you again next time you come to Lyon. My best regards, Olivier

A magical day visiting picturesque French villages and tasting great wines!

Oliver was a fantastic guide and a safe driver! We visited the 2 villages that were on my list- Perouges and Oingt. He was very informative about the history of the area, the villages and the wines and very pleasant! We had white wine tasting before lunch and red when we visited the vineyard after lunch. The restaurant he reserved for us in quaint Oingt was very good! Highly recommend this tour and company!

Response from the operator: Merci beaucoup for your comment ! It was my Pleasure to guide you! My warmest regards from Lyon, Olivier

Awesome Time!

My wife and I went on the group tour of Beaujolais and Perouges with Olivier on a trip to France for our 20th anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. The views and wines were excellent. Olivier has been working with the one vineyard for 20 years. Brought home many memories and pictures, and also a few bottles of wine. Perouges was like taking a step back in time and has a great atmosphere. Olivier was very friendly and was always pointing out good photo opportunities and offering to take photos on the tour.

Response from the operator: Merci beaucoup for your comments. You are bringing with you a piece of Beaujolais to your country ... So happy that you have enjoyed the tour with us. Thank you, My best regards from Lyon, France. Olivier

Highly recommend!

I want to let all know that working with this company was a fantastic experience even though we couldn’t make our private, non refundable Burgundy trip. A health situation happened the day before the tour. We know it wasn’t refundable and called to let them know to please not to pick us up. The owner was so understanding and offered several options. He didn’t have to do so. This is the kind of business that we should all be supporting. If thinking of taking a trip to Burgundy from Lyon, book thru them! You know they are great when they react the way they did. We can’t wait to use them in the near future!

Response from the operator: Dear Elba, Thank you. I really hope that you feel better and that you will enjoy the rest of your trip in France. I wish you all the best, Olivier

Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lyon.

How much does Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon cost?

+

Prices start at $820 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lyon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon take?

+

Plan for about 8.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lyon is not rushed.

Is Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lyon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lyon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lyon and add a light layer if any part of the 8.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Beaujolais & Perouges Medieval Town - Private Tour - Full Day from Lyon start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lyon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lyon?

+

On Outty we rank every Lyon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lyon Highlights & Secrets Walking Guided Tour (small group) including Funicular, Vieux Lyon Cultural & Historical Walking Guided Tour (English), Highlights and Hidden Gems of Lyon Guided Walking Tour (English). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lyon?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lyon?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
