Venizelos Graves
One of the most popular places offering spectacular panoramic views of Chania is the Tombs of Venizelos. Here are the graves of the well-known Greek politician Eleftherios Venizelos and his son Sophocles Venizelos, as well as the small church of Prophet Elijah. Around the tombs there is a beautiful small park and the view to Chania is unobstructed. Eleftherios Venizelos, one of the most important figures in Greek history, was born in Turkish-occupied Crete in 1864 and died on his own in Paris in 1936. His body was transported and buried here, and in 1965 the tomb of his son Sophocles, who served as Prime Minister of Greece from 1943 to 1952, was built.

A day in the Cretan Countryside and Monasteries
We decided to take this tour so we could learn more about the Orthodox Christian monasteries and enjoy sometime in the countryside. We totally enjoyed it, Petro took us in so many places and talked to us about history, agriculture and in the end we spend some time on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful Mediterranean waters.
Response from the operator: We are glad you had a pleasant tour around Akrotiri peninsula in Chania. This is a unique and flexible tour, with locations close to each other, in particular the monasteries and the beach. Petros knows well the Orthodox religion and is the best person to guide around and answer your questions regarding the religion, culture and traditions associated with it. There is also an optional wine tasting or hike you could do, and of course the swim in crystal clear waters at the end.

Amazing beach & monastery day!
Sofia took amazing care of us all day! We really learned a ton about Crete’s culture, seeing the sights on this tour and speaking with our guide. She was careful not to violate “tour guide” rules, but shared many of her own experiences, which really made the day special. This tour was a great way to see a beautiful beach, the monasteries, and have an authentic Greek meal.
Response from the operator: Sofia is an excellent guide, like all our guides. We our so happy that your experience was so unique and memorable. We hope to see you again in the future.

Great Day in Crete
Peter picked us up, he toured us around Crete and the Monasteries and was very knowledgeable!!! He was very accommodating to us the entire time and even took us to one that was not on a list to see. The beach break was awesome and relaxing, the water and landscape were breathtaking, we couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you Peter and wish you all the best!
Response from the operator: We are happy you had such a nice day out! Chania and west Crete have many hidden little gems. Akrotiri peninsula is less touristic, combining culture, history and nature. Its difficult to describe or list all locations we visit, but pleasant tour experience is almost always guaranteed! It was a pleasure to meet and tour with you.
