Montenegro-Kotor & Perast tour
Great day! We left early 6:15 am but glad we did because the boarder wait to cross into Montenegro was 1 hour! Ilia our driver was awesome. Carmen our tour guide was great and very funny! We highly recommend touring with these two! Next we stopped for coffee and croissants! Our first town was Kotor, via car ferry. Kotor is spectacular in beauty and rich in history. We spent almost 3 hours touring, shopping and dining! Great food and drink. Next we went to Perast. Very small town with a 5 minute boat trip to the island of Our Lady of the rocks. Beautiful old church with amazing views. The trip back to Dubrovnik was great with a 45 minute boarder crossing. Thank you for such a wonderful day trip that is well worth going on.

Quick day trip to Montenegro- worth visiting!
We booked the private tour for 5 - for Perast and Kotor daytrip from Dubrovnik. Our tour guide/driver Diego was punctual and collected us at 7am near our hotel. The van was very comfortable and modern. We had no trouble crossing the Montenegro border. Diego was good company , kept us informed during our drive to Perast. We arrived at the bay and had delicious breakfast at Verige 65 overlooking the bay - beautiful views. Diego offered us the option to visit the Lady of the Rocks by boat which cost $20 euro per person which we agreed. We boarded the small boat by the restaurant and the crossing took under 10 mins. We were given 20 mins to spend on the island - and then the boat took us to Perast -7 min crossing - where we met Diego who drove to the other side of the bay with the van in prep for our next stop at Kotor. Diego dropped us off at Kotor and we were allowed to explore the place at our leisure . We had nice lunch at the Drunken Sailor- wandered around . After spending 2-3 hours by ourselves in Kotor, we met Diego at an agreed meeting point and time and drove back to Dubrovnik - we crossed the border without any issues and were back in Dubrovnik at 5pm - giving us time to explore Dubrovnik for the evening. We had good weather and enjoyed the day and was glad that it was not a long day as we feared. Thank you

Montenegro and Kotor
Carmen was a great guide, especially as she gave all her commentary in English and then on Spanish. In the morning we were picked up a short walk to the closest bus stop from our habitation. This day was full and very interesting with stops at Parast and Kotor. Both were significant historically and incredibly beautiful along the Bay of Kotor. She managed our border crossing from Croatia into Montenegro and back smoothly. We had a good balance of free time and guided time.

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.
How much does Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik cost?
+
Prices start at $515 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.
Is Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bay of Kotor Private Full-Day Tour from Dubrovnik start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
