Chris was absolutely awesome for our Basal to Lucerne trip and going to Mt Titlis We were so lucky to have such a personable, knowledgeable, willing, interesting tour guide.

Typically Swiss Tours with Chris, an Exceptional Experience!
To all fellow travelers, we would like to you to know what a wonderful experience we had with Chris of Typically Swiss Tours, and our full confidence that you have a likewise enriching travel experience. We travel to learn geography, history, archeology,.culture, and current trends in different parts of our world. Chris certainly fulfilled those objectives and more. Having lived in Switzerland for a couple of decades, he is very familiar with major Swiss attractions, but also the nuanced, off everyone's tourist check-list, type of encounters. Those are the real "gems" of traveling. Chris delivered above and beyond our expectations. Couried in a spacious and comfortable Mercedes-Benz van to rural areas, or a relaxed walk through cobbled streets of a medieval village, Chris was very knowledgeable and giving of the content and context of the places we visited. That's added value for which there is no price tag. We have had travel guides in different countries. Chris is unequivocally a premier guide who will elevate your travel experience. Soon after meeting, Chris was not just a guide, but a friend comfortable to be with.

Chris R-O-C-K-S!!!
We all would highly recommend Chris as a private guide. He picked us up timely. His vehicle comfortably fit 4 adults and their piles of luggage. He was a very safe and conscientious driver. Most importantly, he entertained us with his extensive knowledge of the history and geography of Switzerland and its many places of interest. He had to adjust his plans on the spot due to heavy fog, and yet we were able to visit many beautiful and interesting places and have loads of fun. Everywhere that Chris took us it seemed he knew the people that worked there, and we felt part of "the in crowd". When in Lucerne, he brought us to important things like Laderach chocolate and the Lion Monument, but also gave us free time to wander through several Christmas markets on our own. Chris is easy-going, prepared, and is a natural when it comes to being a guide. Extra points for putting up with the silly American fascination with the many "Ausfahrt" road signs...but really, the word is totally hysterical AND anatomically correct!!! And many additional points for rescuing a memento bought at a Christmas market and inadvertently forgotten in the van, Chris shipped it safely back to us in Virginia. Good guy.

Chris's great Lucerne Highlights tour!
We booked Chris to take us from Basel on to a tour of Lucerne and then deliver us to Zurich. We had a fantastic time, Chris is highly attentive to our group making sure everyone was adequately accommodated for, so as a host in general - 10/10. The tour was perfect, Chris made sure to stop in on some unique stops that we would never have known about and always had a great story or note of interest at each location. As a true insider he made sure we got to the best photo spots and even our recommended lunch was an absolute banger. You can't go wrong With any your with Chris, 100% recommended!

Wonderful Day
Chris did a great job navigating and suggesting a wonderful tour when the weather was less than wonderful. The views were amazing, the town of Lucerne was beautiful and Chris set a timetable that was manageable by 4 70+ people, one with a handicap. He was so personable that I felt like he was a friend instead of a tour guide. TST is the best!

Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Basel.
How much does Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience cost?
+
Prices start at $294 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Basel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Basel is not rushed.
Is Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Basel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Basel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Basel and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Basel pick up and Zurich Luzern or Bern or Mountain experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Basel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Basel?
+
On Outty we rank every Basel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Alsace wine tour and medieval villages. Small group guided tour, Stories of Basel's Old Town, Basel : Private Custom Walking Tour With A Guide (Private Tour). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Basel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Basel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
