Touring the Barossa with Bob Savic

Bob is a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and happy to work in with your preferred places to see. He can provide lots of insight to the whole region. We had a very enjoyable day and can’t wait to come back again.

Response from the operator: Thank you Renee for kind words about our service. I am glad that you had a great time in Barossa Valley and looking forward organising another special tour in Adelaide.

Bob is the best tour guide at our Adelaide port!

Bob was absolutely wonderful! We were on a cruise ship docking outside of Adelaide, Australia. Bob promptly met us at the port. Bob has a beautiful Toyota Land Cruiser and is very comfortable. He took us to a very, very small winery, in Barossa Valley, called Ballycroft, where the owner, Joseph, gave us a private tour and wine tasting. Joseph does everything for his winery, and is so passionate about his craft! Such a treat! It was the highlight of our trip. Then Bob took us to another small winery, which we prefer, that was beautiful and had good wines. Then he drove us to Lambert winery for a wonderful lunch (not included but that was specified in the booking and the prices were very reasonable and the food great!) He introduced us to Jim Lambert, the owner, and Jim was very gracious to take a picture with us and some very nice conversations! Then we headed to Adelaide and Bob gave us a great tour of Adelaide, with a few stops and back to the port.

Response from the operator: Thank you Diana for your extensive review and generous words. Yes, it was such a successful day with a bit of luck with a gorgeous sunny day. And also meeting a small winemaker Joseph for a behind scenes tour was a special experience. I hope you will manage to visit Australia and Adelaide again. Take care

Great trip. Bob was quite...

Great trip. Bob was quite knowledgeable about the wines and wineries. His choices of the wineries to visit was excellent and exactly what we wanted. He also provided a good overview of the entire region, not just the places we visited. Very personable and a great guide. Strongly recommend

Response from the operator: Thank you Thomas for nice words. I am glad your first visit to Barossa Valley was successful and enjoyable. The weather was perfect and harvesting season was on so you could visit some real action in wineries. Safe travels and hopefully you visit us again.

Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.

How much does Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day cost?

+

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.

Is Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Barossa Valley Private Luxury Tour Full Day start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Adelaide?

+

On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Adelaide?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Adelaide?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
