Great introduction to the plethora of authentic foods
The tour was amazing and the quality of the foods offered on the tour were top notch! Starting with an authentic foccacia, Bari style, the walk along the seafront, the panzerotto, the octopus sandwich, all the way to the desert - Apulia and Bari in particular, really has a lot to offer on the food front! Our guide was patient in explaining why the particular dish is so important to the local community, he took us to some very local spots (we were among the locals shopping for their daily provisions in some of these places) and we learned some cool facts about the history of Bari as well. This was a great way to set the tone for the rest of the week - we learned what to look for, what was authentic and what not so much, and it really elevated our understanding of the region and the people.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Maya We’re really happy to hear that the Street Food Tour of Bari Vecchia was such a great introduction to the authentic foods of the city and that you enjoyed the variety and quality—from the focaccia Bari style to the panzerotto, the octopus sandwich, and the dessert. It’s wonderful that you felt like you were truly among locals and that the guide helped you understand the cultural and historical importance of each dish. We’re glad the tour and Giuseppe helped you recognize what’s authentic and set the tone for the rest of your week in Puglia. We’d love to welcome you back on another Streaty tour in Bari or in one of our other Streaty cities! A big hug from the Streaty family!

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bari?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bari?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
