3 lovely places in one day, but so short stay in one city
The places we visited were truly exceptional. I think that's a lot of places for one day. We went during a public holiday, so everything was busier than usual. However, organizing the trip was more complicated, because some people got disconnected during the trip in the city and we had to wait for them everywhere for a long time. We ended up being in Polignano de Mare only for half an hour, which is not enough for the size of the place, we had to rush around. Guiseppe and Camila were pleasant guides and knew a lot about history.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer, Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind words about Giuseppe and Camilla. We are glad you appreciated their historical knowledge and pleasant attitude, and that you found the places we visited truly exceptional. To offer such a comprehensive itinerary, we include three beautiful locations in a single day, which is indeed an ambitious schedule. It requires precise timing and synchronization from everyone involved. Unfortunately, as you correctly noted, traveling during a major public holiday means dealing with heavy crowds and general delays that are completely outside of our control. Furthermore, the smooth running of the tour relies heavily on the punctuality of all participants. When some guests get disconnected or fail to respect the meeting times in the city, we are forced to wait for them to ensure no one is left behind. Sadly, these delays directly impact the time left for the final stops, such as Polignano a Mare. It is incredibly frustrating for us when the selfishness or carelessness of a few individuals penalizes the rest of the group, but it is a circumstance we cannot prevent. We are sorry that your time in Polignano felt rushed due to these factors, but we hope the beauty of the region and the dedication of our guides still left you with wonderful memories of your trip. Best regards, Davide

Too short :(
Definitely to short for these 3 beautifull places - we were in a rush everywhere. Recommended for people who wants to see only main view points.
Response from the operator: Dear Karolina, Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you found the locations beautiful, though we are sorry if you felt the pace was too fast. Our tour is specifically designed as a "highlights" experience, aimed at travelers who wish to see the three most iconic locations of the area in a single day. To make this possible and cover such a wide area, the itinerary must follow a structured schedule. We understand that for those who prefer a slower, more in-depth exploration, the pace may feel brisk. However, this format allows guests to enjoy the main viewpoints and get a comprehensive overview of the region's beauty in a short amount of time. We appreciate your comments as they help future travelers choose the experience that best fits their preferred travel style. Best regards, Davide

Wonderful tour guide!
This was a wonderful tour! Our guide was so gracious and kind with my elderly parents and helped us to rest when my parents couldn’t walk sometimes. It was a lovely day to see the sights in Puglia. Grazie mille!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bari.
How much does Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bari usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano take?
+
Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bari is not rushed.
Is Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bari, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bari can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bari and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bari Guided Shore Excursion: Matera, Alberobello & Polignano start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bari within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bari?
+
On Outty we rank every Bari experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bari’s Ultimate Street Food Tour - Small Group by Do Eat Better, Boat Tour of the Polignano a Mare Coast with Aperitif, Polignano a Mare: Boat Tour of the Caves - Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bari?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bari?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
