Some parts missed, but great guide
Kamil was very knowledgeable and personal and friendly. We appreciate the pre-trip communication we received from him. He even took us to a part we may have a special interest in as Americans, which we appreciated. He was nice to my family. Unfortunately, we did not visit the Bardo museum, which was meant to be part of the itinerary and something we wanted to see. I also thought our guide would accompany us into the ruins of Carthage to give a detailed explanation of what we were seeing, and he did for the Phoenician section but not for the larger Roman section, where he explained some from the top but had us peruse independently. Having a more detailed interpretation of the ruin structures was one of the reasons we settled on a private tour, so that was somewhat disappointing. However, the parts that Kamil, he did very well. We got to see Phoenician work and Roman work, and he drove us up the Sidi Bou Said hill so that my elderly parents wouldn't have make the climb. He is a great guide, it's just important to know from the start what will and will not be included, especially if you have limited time in the country.

Outstanding and underrated.
Plenty of history and nobody there. Outstanding museum. Takes 3 hours if you're into arts, but even a quick visit is worth it. Hire a guide.

Tunisia tour
Kamel is a fantastic tour guide. I was all alone and booked this trip while still in Canada and they picked me up in the hotel on time. Ameur was our driver and nicest person ever. Showed me everything that was in the program and more. Showed real Tunisian tea and coffee. It was my first day in Tunisia and I fell in love with this country and with the people of Tunisia all thanks to Kamel and Ameur. Oh. I forgot to mention, they took great photos of me. Tunisia is best place on earth

The best Tunisia Tour Guide
Kamel was the absolute best tour guide one could ask for. His English was exceptional and his knowledge was profound, he had answers to all our questions. His happy disposition was so pleasant to be around and he made sure we were always safe and taken care of. Kamel is kind and as always patient and allowed us to make this trip our own. If you need a tour guide, he is the one!

Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tunis.
How much does Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $230 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tunis usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tunis is not rushed.
Is Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tunis, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tunis can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tunis and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bardo Museum with Medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tunis within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tunis?
+
On Outty we rank every Tunis experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Walking Tour through the Medina of Tunis(Pay what you want), Private tour: Medina,Carthage ,Sidi Bou Said, Bardo Museum+lunch, Private Excursion to Testour, Dougga and Bulla Regia from Tunis.. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tunis?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tunis?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
